Team Captain Jonathan Toews was acquired from the San Jose Sharks early in the 2011-12 season in exchange for Cody Hodgson, Daniel Briere and a first round pick. Patrick Kane was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks in the 2013 offseason along with Cody Ceci in exchange for Dmitri Orlov, Luca Sbisa, Sven Baertschi, Martin Frk and draft picks. James Neal was acquired from the New Jersey Devils in the summer of 2011 in exchange for Marcus Johansson. Charlie Coyle was acquired from the Quebec Coyoes on the 2013 trade deadline in exchange for Jamie Oleksiak and Austin Watson. Marian Hossa was acquired at this years trade deadline along with Cody McCormick in exchange for Chris Stewart, a first round pick and prospects. Jamie McGinn was acquired earlier this season along side Brian Dumoulin from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for David Rundblad, Matt Finn and Darren Archibald. Mika Zibanejad was also acquired earlier this season from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Justin Schultz. Tyler Toffoli was acquired in the 2013 off-season alongside the 20th overall pick (Josh Morrissey) from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for fan favourite David Backes. Gregory Campbell was signed as a free agent in the summer of 2012. Max Talbot was acquired just prior to this years trade deadline alongside Brett Bulmer from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for Shane Prince and Chris Neil. Craig Adams was signed as a UFA in the summer of 2013. Cody McCormick was acquired along with Marian Hossa in the aforementioned trade MANNY MALHOTRA(THERES A MANNY ON THE CDCGML CUP WOO!) was signed as a UFA in the 2013 off-season. Michal "the CDCGML good luck charm" Handzus was also signed as a UFA in the 2013 off-season Oliver Ekman-Larsson was GM OTTS' first acquisition as Florida GM just days after taking over the Panthers in 2011 alongside Alex Steen in exchange for Scott Hartnell and Marcus Foligno. Erik Karlsson was acquired mid-way through the 2011-12 season along with Ben Smith in exchange for Colin Wilson, Zach Bogosian and Andrew MacDonald M.E. Vlasic was acquired this season alongside Michael Matheson from the Calgary Flames in exchange for Michael Del Zotto, Michael Stone and a first round pick. Matt Niskanen was acquired at the 2013 trade deadline in exchange for a first round pick. John Moore was acquired at this years trade deadline along with a first round pick in exchange for Francois Beauchemin and Justin Braun. Cody Ceci was acquired along with Patrick Kane in the aforementioned trade. Ryan Stanton was signed as a UFA in 2012. Adam McQuaid was acquired along with a first round pick from the Montreal Candiens in exchange for a higher first round pick. Corey Crawford is the lone man standing from when GM OTTS took over the Panthers in July 2011. Darcy Kuemper was acquired in the 2013 off-season from the St.Louis Blues in exchange for Josh Gorges. We`re always running with an esteemed list of candidates, so toss your hat in the ring if your wanting to re-apply (there was a very in-depth questionnaire for applicants). We were just saying the other day, that some of our best hirings are previous members (then recommended friends, and known CDC jedis). Firings are a very real part of the game, but so are hirings. Now I'ma let you finish and all, i just wanted to say that the New York Rangers appear to have successfully signed all four of our 2012 draftees as we patiently await the official announcement, work behind the scenes to flesh out our 2014-15 roster is well underway. New York moved from the 7th worst team two years in a row to a second round playoff performance, and for me, that was all I could ask for, a beautiful turn around season. Teams will be able to begin the process of using a compliance buyout beginning at 12:01am Pacific Time tomorrow morning, June 15, 2014, and continue until 5:00pm Pacific Time on June 30, 2014. This move is being made so that teams and players have more time to get their rosters set and ready for summer.
