Wiznac
To Chi - Kesler - Hansen or 2nd 2014 To Van - Saad , Teravainen This addresses our need for more scoring now ( Saad ) and a top 6 center for the future (Teravainen) Chicago gets Kesler a second line two way center that can put up points and makes them even better and they can take Hansen ( to fill the empty spot on wing ) or a pick if they have someone to move up. With Hossa out the salaries are a wash as well
PhillipBlunt
This is from John Jaeckel of Hockey Buzz, "Solid source out of Canada told me this morning the Hawks made an offer for Ryan Kesler yesterday, including (possibly) Bryan Bickell, Nick Leddy, and Mark McNeill. The source tells me that (for obvious reasons) it is unlikely the Canucks will deal Kesler to Chicago" That's a tad better, but likely never to happen. With Hossa out the salaries are a wash as well Pass. 1. Hossa is only out for a couple weeks to the salaries don't wash. 2. Saad isn't going anywhere, he does a lot of the things Kesler does (except take faceoffs). Saad is a mini Hossa, the kid is amazing. 3. Teravainen is our #1 prospect and the management is extremely high on him. Also, Teravainen could join the team later this season and fill the 2C void. The only way Kesler goes to Chicago is if Bickell goes the other way and that doesn't make too much sense form Vancouver's perspective.
slappipappi
Because he makes $764,000 next year, and is a very good player, Saad is actually more valuable to the Hawks than Kesler. He's 8 years younger and actually has more points.

skolozsy2
Its not a bad proposal. But you are going after two players the Hawks coaching staff and management are very high on. There is very little chance Bowman would trade either of them, and virtually no chance of the Hawks dealing both players.
