Grand17
If we miss the playoffs I hope someone pays the price but being a long time fan, I doubt anything major will happen. In my opinion, we will just overpay an overrated free agent.

Quoted
As much as I am convinced that Torts isn't right for this team, it's hard to predict who would be availble to take his place this off season (other coaches on the block?). If there is no reasonable replacement, firing the coach (or GM) can sometimes backfire.
TOMapleLaughs
I sincerely hope we suck BAD next season, because even if we do patch it up with bad trades and bad signings, this team will remain unwatchable. There is only one solution, imho. We need a new franchise player or two and the only way to get them is through the draft. This should be the plan going forward and if it's not then all I can do is shake my head.
TOMapleLaughs
A 'winning-capable' franchise player or two, btw. Not some hyped-up, soft, slow perimeter-playing junk oversold to us again, like we generally get every year.

pimpcurtly
My hope is that the Aquas sell the team, new owners hire an ACTUAL hockey GM(not an agent) and stay the frack out of the managerial side of things. What we are witnessing is what happens when hockey fans(Aquas) run the team. One can dream....
RonMexico
I doubt any of that happens. The most unlikely one is Torts getting fired. The only way his job is in jeopardy is if Gillis is canned.
