[Discussion] Canuck Centre Depth and what to do with them now and in the future

Recommended Posts

Sedin and Horvat are the only players who consistently play centre. Zalewski and Cracknell aren't even natural centres and Cracknell is atrocious at faceoffs.. Zalewski is in the minors, and Cracknell is a 30 year old UFA who can easily be waived at anytime.

Vey and Sutter have played the wing, and it would't be a bad idea to move McCann to wing either.

I hope McCann can transition to wing. Quite frankly his faceoff numbers have been atrocious in important games and he can still use his playmaking abilities and shot from the wing.

While its easier to suggest Vey move to the wing since he is the CDC whipping boy - Vey has had solid faceoff numbers so far and has done well in his position.

A 19 year old is losing faceoffs at the NHL level? Hardly shocking.

McCann is our best prospect. I wouldn't shove anything down his throat and force him to play wing if the intent is not mutual.

Vey needs to be traded. He is not a cup winning type of center. We need center men with size, and its a shame we are developing this guy instead of McCann.

There are only 4 spaces on the team for center. Henrik, Bo, and Sutter are locks. We need to have space for our elite prospects to develop.
