My family had a construction company as i was growing up.  My uncles always paid a few dollars more to their employees than the competitors.  He had zero turnover and his crew was very efficient.   Smart business sense.     He also paid driving time both directions and bought beer for the boys on the occassional friday.......  Great memories of working for them.

 

Paying your employees as little as possible is a trap.   All you end up with is crappy employees...

Bet they weren’t minimum wage jobs though.
