  1. The Pacific Northwest is the most beautiful region in the world. You don't realize how amazing it is until you live elsewhere.

I'll vouch for that. Problem is, I remember White Rock back in the 70's. We walked through a back-route, nature trail to the corner stores on State Road(Hi view market, or Mr Dee's). My folks giving me a quarter so I could buy a bag of sweets.

We were poor too(Dad, in & outa' work). My point being, a struggling family with 5 kids could eke out an existence in paradise, for 2 decades of time.

      Paradise lost.

I agree!  I love water, mountains, islands, trees, cutesy small towns, and wineries. I don't care much for Seattle and Vancouver.  I live in Seattle, but I don't really care for it, but the further you get out, it is gorgeous!

It's the only region I've ever called home. Being a simple Island boy, Vancouver was too much for me. Just too busy, full of busy people who are busy being full of themselves, generally. Blow-hards and big-shots.

I enjoyed the years I spent in Squamish and Whistler, but Lucky Lager is "The Island's Own" afterall.

But I digress, ReggieBush, you are sofa king right. I'm reminded of that fact every time I return home from a vacation or work burden.
