Sexual assaults claims on both. Kane is much worse than Virtanen.

Kane doesn’t get a pass because he is a better player with more points… they are both imbeciles.

So if we’re going to get Kane, why not get Virtanen back. Because he’s a lesser player?

I will hold judgement on the sexual assault charges until proven.  Has he lacked character off the ice throughout his career... Hell yah.  Very immature for sure.  Maybe his choice in partners reflects that too.  A lot needs to be sorted out and I get why you don't want him but beyond the immaturity and sexual assault allegations (at this point Virtanen's cases seems to have more substance).  They are different players by far and Kane has a child with temporary custody.  Judges don't just hand kids to sexual assault perpetrators.  I'll hold judgement but will be okay with or without him.

He wasn’t liked in Atlanta, they moved to Winnipeg he wasn’t liked in Winnipeg, he got traded to Buffalo he wasn’t liked in Buffalo, he got traded to San Jose he isn’t liked in San Jose.

Of that is not evidence enough, then bring back Virtanen as well.

Risk for sure... But Virtanen comparision... Come on.

Likely, if that custody is true, it’s only because Kane can afford better liars.

You don't know that Alf... Obviously you've never have a child with a mentally unstable woman... I have.  Got custody and raised my son on my own from the time he was three.  Got my ass in gear let me tell you.  I grew up quick.  If Kane has any chance if 'getting it'  it's now.

And how did that work with Byflugien?

It would be the same situation.

    It would not end well.

That was years ago now... Not saying he's a character guy.  But like I said in my past post.  IF he gets his daughter for an extended period if time... It has a good chance to change his priorities.  Help him grow up and become a half decent human.  Doesn't mean he's going to all of a sudden be a lady bing candidate... But can will probably be the best and maybe last chance for him to get his sh!t together.  There is lots of risk, no doubt, and I understand your trepidation.  I just feel it could be worth the risk... All good if it doesn't go down though lol!

Rumour is Canucks and Sharks working at a Kane deal. Apparently Kane is coming at 50% off but two teams are fighting over player going back. From my source (better than Eklund) it could be Hamonic. I don't know if any picks are involved. Flame away.

Crazy if so... If harmonic is the return, personally I'd go for it.  Especially if Kane actually gets custody of his child and his ex is found to be unstable, then Kane will want to be close to his folks for support.  I think he'd be thankful to come home and play for his favourite team growing up.

Yep, they're a joke and it's all on the NHLPA.  They are so worried about the players financial health that they don't give a crap about their physical or mental health.  The NHLPA in general and Don Fehr in particular are a joke.  They're just a bunch of parasites.  GCG!

Couldn't agree more.  Financial security trumps mental and physical security.  #1 bullsh*"!

I really wanted Podz to score tonight, the amount of ridiculous hype for him on hf was silly. But with Podz he was the whipping boy of every nuck fan who wanted Cole instead the reaction at the draft in Vancouver really piss*d me off, the guy flies on his own dime with family and we can't even pronounce his name correctly and the lack of cheering was really Bush league.

Well good thing he's not a 'wilting flower' then... He loves it here.  He's just happy to be playing in the best league in the world and very thankful to be in Vancouver.  If he's happy, why you mad bro?200.gif

it's cute that he dangled the truth as an incentive to sign up for the athletic. "I'll let you read the lies for free, but if you want a shred of honesty, buck up"

sorry thomas, you're the reason I cancelled my subscription.

Same here!  Suckass is the reason I stopped listening to 1040 as well.  Both weasels that feed off the negativity they generate off the frustrated fan.  We don't need anymore negativity... Already bad enough.  Now this doesn't mean pretending it ain't bad and being in denial.  It means reporting facts not fiction or opinions.  Leave the opinions to the fan, no need to manipulate the narrative or add fuel to the fire.  It's already a tire fire lol!

He's a Kelowna boy such as myself. He has had some issues. Thing is, at what point did the Black Hawks road block his development? It's odd that he never even got a look at the NHL level. He mired in their minor system quite awhile. He has plenty of grounds for a huge lawsuit.

I hope he gets as much as he feels is deserved... Even though there's no amount of money that can fully heal the damage that was inflicted.

I think the Canucks passed on drafting Kyle Beach in part because he was rumored to have character issues, but after reading his statement he comes across as an intelligent and thoughtful individual. I suppose the two aren't mutually exclusive. Anyway, hope he can begin the healing process. Best of luck to him. And to everyone who covered this up or mocked him- may you rot in hell.

I remember that year... He was considered to be a power forward agitator with some decent hands... But yay, also heard he had 'character issues'.  So at the time, glad we passed on him.  Really hope he gets the help and support he surely deserves.  Took a lot if courage to come out and speak to the media.  Mad respect for the guy!
