People remember she is still in her mid 20s and we all said our fair share of stupid sh*t and done mind boggling things at that age.

Yup... And now she'll be in the background making her case.  She's obviously well spoken and very bright so she'll probably be great at her job... Just keep her away from a mike for a few more years while she matures more lol!!!

    Welcome to the nucks Rachel!:towel:

  2. I don't mind her candidness, but mostly because she wasn't employed by a franchise at the time...  It's refreshing to hear an honest opinion, not dumbed down.  However, she does need to tone it down now.... Which I assume, she will.  She has the credentials, well spoken and obviously passionate about the game of hockey... The only problem I have... She's a Leafs fan!!!

I like Lockwood. I think the organization is grooming him to be a replica of Motte. Would love it if Lockwood could play with Motte. Those two with their speed, and the way they play, could really agitate the opposition, and give them fits.

    Lockwood in, Highmore 13th forward.

No.. looking at a successful technique another team utilized and creating conversation about what are possible methods we can take to replicate that process.

    Sorry thread police.

Lol! 'Thread police' that's funny!  My point... What are your suggestions?

  5. Okay... So you're thread is really cloaked as a griping session on poor asset management?  No offerings of who these buy low candidates are in your eyes?  Okay I'll start... DelColle, Kakko, D.Strome, Thomas... Just spitballin' but more than you offered.

Soo Burke had a domestic dispute charge in '97? Not saying it's good but I would hope he is not a bad guy anymore if it's been almost 25 years.

Should he be given another chance?

Just read up in him... He remarried and was in another abusive relationship... This time she was hitting him.  This was from a us magazine article Dec 2020.  She I guess is a recovering alcoholic and realizes she's lesbian.... And wanted to see if they can coexist in an open marriage while raising children.  Okay, I'm not one to judge, as I have been an a number of crazy unhealthy relationships in my younger years...

All I know is, it took years of hard work and courage to change my ways and choices with relation to who I attracted as a potential partner and how I treated myself and them within our union... REGARDLESS, it took a lot of energy and I know for sure, I wouldn't have been able to focus on both my home life and my professional life equally effectively (and my career wasn't nearly as demanding and pressure laden as Burkes would be).  So I commend him if he's figured it out. BUT, is he so 'head and shoulders' more qualified as our potential GM, compared to another candidate with far less dramatic unhealthy personal history?

If the general public would listen, it would know the vaccines aren’t cures. The difference was stated long ago during the first wave.

    There are no more excuses.

Are you vaccinated? Your two vaccines are meant to decrease the symptoms. A buddy of mine in Maine it’s got Covid on a trip to New Mexico. He felt safe after getting his third shot.

    Vaccine. Not a cure.

I see thanks for the explanation... I'm glad that when as a child I got the small pox, measles, and polio shots... I guess I was lucky... (Like pretty well everyone else that got those vaccines), that they worked to stop me from getting or giving those viruses and stopped the spreading of them.  Call me old fashion but that's how I grew up understanding what a vaccine does.  Which is very different than our current vaccines fighting the covid virus.

The vaccine was never meant to stop people from getting covid.  It matters if people are unvaxxed as they are more likely to use the hospital ERs and ICU units.

Maybe pharma and the government's  knew that, but the general public didn't... We thought getting the jab would stop the spread... Whoops!

Omnicom is very mild, I got it... I just stayed home.  It never crossed my mind to go to the hospital because I had mild to no conditions.  'Filling the icu's' is a load if crap...

Well last time I checked, the flu did not overwhelm healthcare systems. Heck we are now seeing near collapse of pediatric care so don't down play it as if it is just a flu.

Maybe a severe flu is more appropriate.

So unless Henry decided 0 capacity to games, this postponement is on Aqua.

I got Omnicom along with 5 other closer friends.  Every single one of us had mild conditions.  Also hearing and from news, this is simply not nearly as bad as the delta.  It does in symptoms, resembles the common flu.  I'm very thankful that when I final got covid, it has been the Omnicom variant.
