  1. Yeah that's kind of why I brought that up due to what's unfolding in the Chicago scandal and how some players decided to do that to them over there as teammates, just bad. This is also why it's hard to believe what players coaches management say to the public, everyone always thinks because their professionals they never lie and always tell the truth, I believe that Chicago scandal is showing this a bit and issues are still happening on teams.
  2. I do have one other concern with this story and curious how true it is, she claims his team gave him that book for gambling for dummies, I want to know how true this really is. Because a team should be trying to help support a teammate especially when he has an addiction problem, not giving him books to mock him that's not helping someone with a problem at all, and I have an issue with that if it's true.
  3. Like I know there is always two sides to a story, but come on he got her pregnant a second time now, and now he's going to hang out in Europe and party... I get their having a divorce but man up here, stop running from your problems and deal with it. What happened if she had a medical emergency? She's just supposed to rely on everyone else to help her, not the guy who knocked her up and decided to run away for a bit. His actions are poor and her actions are poor as well for making this all public, she doesn't get a free pass in my mind. I understand there is a lot of frustration going on for them during this time, and with social media now a days a lot of people use it as an escape route to voice their opinion, and it's kind of a mix right now, it works for some and it doesn't work for some, but I don't think many realize how it could become a problem down the road when children involved get older and see all this stuff that went on. This social media thing is still a learning experience for many, it is what it is, Kanye West is another example when he was running for President he told a story about one of his children being a mistake actually, when that child gets older and sees this it could be a problem for the family. It's a learning experience for many still like I said, but hopefully with time people will learn the hard way and start realizing some family issues just need to stay private.
  4. The vehicle Kane told her to leave in the house for him... So it's his car not hers, and then Kane who filed for bankruptcy prior to the season for $27M in debt.... She might have a valid point here.
  5. Berrios he looked decent, I was expecting his fastball to be around the 97-98 range but seemed like it was 94-95 decent but I expected or thought it was harder thrown but I guess not. As mentioned above his curveball is dirty, although I'd like to see him pitch that pitch a little lower it did seem to hang up in the middle of the zone a few times, luckily it's so dirty it's harder to hit, but once teams get the scouting report they will eventually sit back and wait on it if it's going to continue hang in the middle of the zone, but overall good outing for his first one as a Jay, and a big win good to see.
  6. Yeah I ended up googling it yesterday and read that, just didn't make sense to me but I guess if it's not popular enough around the world no point, not enough competition. I guess a little shocked it never went world wide like other sports have.
  7. Yeah the corruption in this league is another story and something that needs to be addressed as well, hopefully one day.
  8. Yup another factor that's a possibility, with how much money is involved in sports betting now a days it's to hard to ignore the possibility, and how does an addict ignore betting on the sport he knows the best.... I have a hard time believing his recent statement, I get he has a right to his side, but a guy who is addicted to gambling, was like $27M in debt or something, and I'm going to sit here and try and believe this guy didn't try betting on any hockey games now.... Okay.
  9. Looks like he's wearing his chest protector still under that shirt
  10. Well he can be an impact kind of player on teams, so if there was a game he was playing and say if they lost and the pay out was great, well maybe he decided not try and score that game, make some bad passes, maybe dump the puck more instead of trying to carry the puck for a scoring opportunity, there are many little things a person could do to make it harder for their team to win that one game. He easily could come back the following game and score a couple goals and everyone would forget about his previous game, and no one would think he was trying to play poorly on purpose. Look at Pete Rose the guy was the leader in hits, he has more hits than any player to ever play in the MLB, you can try and argue the same thing look at his stats he wasn't tanking, but he was gambling on his team and was banned from baseball for it. Anything is possible sometimes.
  11. Yeah but how is it her fault, if true sounds like he just wants to party instead of supporting his family? Sounds like his actions are ruining his family relationship not her choices.
  12. I don't even know if it is a thing or not, but the thought of it being a possibility definitely lingers in the back of my mind sometimes, especially when you see some of the payouts that can happen when a team who's supposed to easily beat a certain team just doesn't for some reason.... I tend to think outside the box sometimes and keep an open mind on all possibilities, and this one definitely has been something I've thought about the last couple years.
  13. I remember before San Jose signed him so many people on this board wanted him, I always felt he was a cancer in the locker room especially hearing the stories from Winnipeg, then the stories continued in Buffalo hence why I never wanted him, many people were convinced here he had grown up and he wasn't the same person as he was in the past, I didn't agree with that because of the stories out of Buffalo still, just glad he never came to Vancouver.
  14. I thought about this as a possibility a few years ago in sports. Like really with how much money is being gambled out there, what's really stopping a team from throwing a game to make some extra money? Like if the pay out is that big and a team says hey we can handle a loss for a game, what's really stopping them from doing it? Like their getting paid good money already and losing a game isn't going to make them lose money they get paid no matter what, but if they can lose a game that has a good pay out what's really stopping them?
  15. I feel bad for the whole famiy if true, his actions of me first have torn a family apart, he just never grew up.
  16. Just one of the best hitters to ever play the game, definitely can't say the same about Kane
  17. Wow, her throwing him under the bus like this shows how serious this family is torn apart by Kanes actions, he's done in the NHL now, if the allegations are true, but that's quite the allegation to make if not true....
  18. Well if I said football only everyone would say it's already in the Olympics because it is, I'd rather watch American football then Rugby just saying.
  19. Why is there no football(American) in the Olympics? Seems like every other professional sport is in the Olympics whether it's summer or winter, the big ones Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Golf even, but no Football.... I'm not even a big football fan, but seeing how all these other big sports have olympic events I'm surprised there is no football.
  20. Anytime you can limit the Jays bullpen to two innings you know you had a good game
