Salmonberries
His save percentage is .821. wshdrvvn
looking at a few games towards the beginning of the season as one number (save percentage) is missing something I'd say. If you want a real look at him, look at his progression since the beginning. He has been working out the kinks of his game during the regular season rather than having had a training camp (and several games at the beginning of the season) to work like healthy goalies do every season. give him time. It's still december.

Salmonberries
Does anyone know if we're allowed to do screen name bets here? Because they can be an awful lot of fun!
Salmonberries
Have you ever watched this guy play? Have you read any scouting reports on him? Do you know anything about him other than what you've read on here? Do you base any of your knowledge on him on anything other than a limited sample size of stats? Too many armchair GM's on here. At least if you're gonna be an armchair gm, do a little research on the players, and watch them in action.

jigsaw99
He has played 8 games, and his first few games he let in like 5+ goals in each one after being out with an injury for like 8 months. People really need to look at the context of players stats instead of just taking them at face value. There's a whole lot more that goes into evaluating a player then just their stats. In his last two games he has a .966 SV% and a 2.0 GAA. That's the trend that will likely continue, not the 4+ GAA. The other two goalies on Cape Breton: Trudeau - .891 SV% 3.70 Bureau - .873 SV% 4.30 GAA And these two don't have the excuse of being out with major injuries. Cape Breton clearly just has a poor defensive game.
DeNiro
His historic stats isn't very good either even in the last two seasons as the #1, his saving % is below .880 and GAA is 3.4.
