That's impressive - Oshawa is a decent offensive team this year with talents like Jenner, Lessio, Laughton and Biggs.

With 4 points (4A) in 2 games, Corrado is now 4th in Defensemen scoring.

This is going to be a big year for Corrado. Look for him to get a lot more respect throughout the CHL and amongst non-Canuck fans

He was already starting to get that last year.

With the 'C', previous nomination for top D in the OHL, and the previous impressive showing at Canucks camp - this is the year for Corrado to move even further up the Canucks D prospects.

I agree, the nomination for Top OHL Defensman was a big coup. It opened the eyes of many outside of Sudbury. With this being his 19 year old year in the O, I expect him to continue shining in all situations, leading his team on the PP, PK, +/- and ice time, as well as close to a PPG ratio.

This prospect forum will be my home until the CBA is resolved, so im happy to have so many talented players to keep an eye on.

Very true. It will be interesting following them even closer. Corrado's one of my favorites.

As per Bob McKenzie, the Canucks have put Corrado on their shortlist to recall from junior to compete for a spot at training camp once it starts. No mention of any other players like Gaunce. They would only have been able to submit 2 or 3 names total anyway as part of the recall exemption due to the lockout pushing back training camps.

@TSNBobMcKenzie
In late August, NHL teams had to submit short list (no more than 2 or 3) of drafted CHL juniors they would like to recall if lockout ends.

VAN's only guy on the list is Frank Corrado.

IF lockout ends, these players could be recalled to tryout for NHL team and then normal rules apply for keeping or sending back to jr.

i think that's valid. Corrado's a beast, and I can see why they would consider him for training camp. all the other CHL players (we only have 4 total) are first year players or nowhere close to the NHL.

Good on Corrado - it's not easy becoming that one guy who gets called back when you're a 5th rounder. He's definitely earned it as he has risen meteorically up the depth chart this past year.

Lost 6-2 last night to the Plymouth Whalers and was even.

Losing 1-0 after period 1 against Windsor right now and is even.

No points for either Corrado or Gaunce, Corrado was a +1 and had 2PIMs though. Gaunce was a -2. Sudbury won 3-2 although Belleville outshot Sudbury 35-24.

Knights/Wolves game today. Frankie is racking up the second assists. Already with two (both on the powerplay). 5min into the second period.

Back up to being a point a game with 14 points in 14 games.

Nice to see him on the score sheet, even if they're just secondary assists on the powerplay.

He was +4 as well, so he was a part of some non-PP goals as well. Three PP assists and two 5 on 5, but you're right that they were all 2nd assists.

Forgot to mention he's tied for 4th in scoring for defencemen in the OHL now.

Only 3 back of Dougie Hamilton with 1 less game played.

Solid possession game is fueling those secondary assists. He might not be masterminding the attack but his play stirs the glass for the rest of his team mates.

Going to get to see Corrado play live today for the first time this year. It will be interesting to see him up against Stuart Percy. Good comparison. Corrado has really outplayed his draft status for sure. He's now playing like a first or second rounder.

If Corrado keeps this level of play up any chance he can make the WJC as one of Canada's shutdown defensemen?

Maybe, but with the lockout it'll be tough to beat this years draftees alone. Murray, Rielly, Reinhart, Dumba, Ceci, then throw in Murphy, Hamilton, Oleksiak, Bealieu, and Morrow, it'll be tough
