The Pittsburgh Penguins would like to anounce that a trade has been completed with The Columbus Blue-Jackets. We would like to welcome Dustin Penner to the team as well as Ryan Parent. We would like to thank Tuomo for all his efforts here as a Penguin and wish him all the best in Columbus.

GM Sharpshooter said this, "Dustin was brought onto the team as another big bodied forward who can score. He will be a great addition to our second line. Dustin expects big things from himself this season and the organization expects big things this season as well. We're giving him a very skilled team to work with in the hopes that it will once again reignite that scoring touch that we know this power forward inherently has". 28 year old Penner, at 6'4 and 245lbs came off a tumultuous 2010-2011 season that saw him record 45 points. His aim is set much higher this year with the abundance of skilled players he's sure to be playing with.

GM Sharpshooter went on to say about young defenceman Parent, "Ryan has much promise and will have great quality defencemen to emulate and learn from as he grows onto our lineup, We'll see how he performs at camp before making any decisions. We expect Ryan to come prepared to fight for a spot though." 24 year old Parent, at 6'3 200lbs, has still yet to crack an NHL roster full-time, but his development continues and he still has many years to find the confidence and role to make him an effective NHL defenceman.

The Penguins also traded their 2012 2nd Round Draft pick as well as the 2012 3rd Round Draft Pick that they acquired from Minnesota in the Staal and Backstrom trade.

End of Release.

Maybe a day late here but Buffalo gets a potential top 10 pick ( no offense Columbus ) and of the players moved, Brian Lee is the player with the most offensive upside.

Gotta say it looks like a quantity for quality trade to me.

The St.Louis Blues want welcome Defender Yannick Weber and Goalie Dennis Endras to our Organisation and wishe the Players Lindback and Sobotka all the best with their new Team.

"We are glad that we got a young Defender like Yannick for our Team, he will be a Guy for the Future for sure. With the German Goalie Endras and TGC´s Countrymen we got a Player who has to prove his NHL ability but we are looking forward. He has played great during the Worldchamionchips 2010 and 2011, so we are hopefully about him. Losing Linback might be a mistake but with Bobrovsy we have another high talented Goaltender"
