Wow what an odd run for the Kings.

Canucks could actually end up being the team that gave them their hardest series.
15-2 no road losses.
I think they have more healthy bodies now then when they started the playoffs(Gagne back).

I guess so much for facing adversity in the playoffs lol.

Congratulations to the LA Kings for being the most boring team to ever win the cup.

ehhhh not really , especially when they just scored 4 goals , was pretty entertaining

if anything its jerseys fault the series isnt more exciting , they cant score at all and after that last loss have ZERO confidence

as much as ive enjoyed hating on the kings this cup run they deserve it

Why did we let mitchell go again?

Canucks already had Hamhuis, Bieksa, Ehrhoff, Edler, Ballard and Salo. Plus, Willie had a major concussion and it was unknown whether or not he would return to form.

They do deserve it. And they play with a lot of intensity.

But this year has been the least entertaining playoffs I've watched in quite a while.

For those wondering, The last Stanley Cup final sweep was Detroit over Washington in 1998.

For those wondering, The last Stanley Cup final sweep was Detroit over Washington in 1998.

I`m sure I`m not the only one to wonder if the Kings go to sweep the devils, thus going the whole playoffs with only 2 losses, would it be the most dominant SC run ever?

I have never been as discouraged about the Canucks' chances of winning a Cup as I am right now.

The Kings are a team that came within one loss of not even making the playoffs and now they're a game away from winning the Stanley Cup, all the while having lost only 2 total games along the way.

The Canucks were the most dominant team in the league a year ago. We had a 2-0 series lead and had 2 chances to get win #4 and we couldn't do it. It was our best chance and with every other team in the league getting better, younger, and stronger while we stay the same, I don't know if we'll ever have that chance again.

So should the plan be NOT gunning for the Presidents Cup once again, instead, for the last half the season, rest the stars, bring up rookies? That way we probably loose more games and can drop down to where we learn to fight for every point, come into the playoffs hungry like LA... and have the bonus of rested stars and development playing time for our rookies. :)

Kings were built for the playoffs this season. They're basically a mirror image of Boston but bigger and less dirty play.

They have the recipe for success down pat, and if their team stays the same and is coached the same next season they'll run away with another Cup title. They may not be built for the regular season, but if they make the playoffs again next season they'll go far once again.

P.S That first goal should not of counted, the refs are giving no respect to the best goalie to play the game and it's disgusting. He had the puck covered for a few good seconds and the ref was behind him so clearly couldn't see the puck anyway, but let Kings players bang away regardless. Shouldn't have been a goal, but on the flipside the NJ defence should of bowled the Kings forwards over. That's the difference right now - DEFENCE.

Its time for the Devils to expose the Kings for what they really are

A very deep and talented team that plays with intensity and heart to the final seconds regardless of the score that are about to hoist a very deserved cup?

& it's a shame about goal #1.

I know how you feel. As soon as we lost last year, I knew we missed our chance. Not saying we can't get back soon but being a long time Nuck fan has made me somewhat of a pessimist. Seventeen years between finals appearances and two gut-wrenching 7 game series' losses will do that to you.

By boring, do you mean best defensive hockey team?

Other teams must be boring because they can't even score a goal against them. We must be entertaining because we give up so many odd man rushes and breakaways eh?

Blame LA for playing the right way. They block shots, they block lanes and they tie up sticks and take the body in front. Something the Canucks seem to fail to do for the past who knows how many years. It's boring because a team can play well defensively? You must not understand how the game works.

Defense wins championships and it will always be like that for ANY sport.

The one team that could've actually given them a run for their money and they go down faster than a cheap hooker.

Called the sweep before the series started.

I can't believe how dominant LA has been. Has this ever been seen before in the NHL? They bull dozed through everyone and are making NJ look like an AHL team.
