Why Canucks don't have a Stanley Cup? No loyalty to their players

Carter is overrated, the Sedins are the only reason he was even offered an NHL contract the season after.

That last sentence is so uncalled for, neverminding the fact that a lot of those players we either: a) couldn't sign, b ) they were at the peak of their potential and going downhill, or c) we traded them in hopes of getting better in the now.

P.S. Ever heard of the Sedins, Burrows, Edler, and Kesler? Yeah, no loyalty at all.

Every one of those "points" you made has either been utterly twisted or is a complete lie.

But you can't deny the fact that those were great supporting casts that complemented well with the team.

Also please don't include Eder in any other conversation. He was Kings best player in the first round.

Those are called trades. It's how a team works. You have to give a little to get a little.

The Kings traded away a #3 drafted player in Jack Johnson just to get Jeff Carter. They gave away Simmonds and Schenn to get Richards.

Those are risky moves that paid off. What's to say that ours won't?

PS I'm trying to give this thread a chance to survive but it's not going very well.

You act like we're the only team who has ever made a trade or lost someone to free agency.

1. If we had kept Anson Carter, we may have never discover Burrows, ever though of that?

2. Hodgson wasn't forced out, he asked for a trade.

3. Samuelsson, the heart of the team? He did a good job here, but no.

4. Ehrhoff was never TOLD to take a hike, he left all on his own for a ridiculous contract.

5. You also said the Canucks are too concerned about signing players for cheap, then you said the Canucks have overpaid players. How does that work?

Oh and how many games have the Sedins won for us? Too many to count.

Did not sign Carter back in 06 after a career season then tried to get cheaper version of him by going after Pyatt, Beirner and god knows who else. That was a pretty big fail.

Told Ehhroff to take a hike. If players don't feel wanted here, why should they sign with the organization? Look at the teams that have won the cup, it starts with great defense. Fact: Ehhroff made Edler.

Let Mitchell walk that was a defensive beast but only made 1 mistake (how many mistakes AV has made?)

Let Torres walk who confronted anyone that looked at the team wrong. Also won 1 game of the finals for us. How many wins do the Sedins have for us?

Trade Sammuelson who was pretty much the heart of the team.

Forced Hodgson out because the coach hated him. We had a struggling Kelser who was injured and the management knew it yet we got played like fools. The bigger story was why did Hodgson leave.

Can't seem to get the others off the top off my head, but this is a major issue. Managements treats players like assets, they only care about signing players for cheap, not signing players to win games. We have overpaid players that dont' seem to fit AV's description of a player.
