Times are tough in Montreal right now. The Habs have fallen to 13th spot in the East and are more than 100 points behind the 8th-place Islanders, have an LTIR that is fully stocked as well as other players that are day-to-day and haven't played in a week, and watched as the Ryan O'Reilly situation was resolved less than 5 days after they moved him to Colorado in a deal.

The Habs are probably another bad week or two away from an absolute fire-sale...

Could the Avs consider moving Ryan Strome??

That's the question being asked around the Pepsi center halls as the team continues to explore trade possibilities to bolster the team both now and in the future. Avs GM nuxrule420 hasn't said he's shopping the elite prospect center but has said he's looking to add an anchor on the blue line that can be the centerpiece of the Avs blue line for years to come. Looking at the additions of Ryan O'Reilly and Mike Richards, one can only assume that I'd such a defenceman was available, Strome could be part of a potential trade.

Very very excited to bring in Nick and Matt. They will provide some much needed depth to our team. We will place Matt as our 2nd line LW in Medicine Hat and Nick as our 4th line center with our NHL team. Please bump Jason Arnott down to the 13th forward to make room for Nick.

Great news in Nashville this weekend as with the signings of Nick Drazenovic and Matt Pelech add some bodies to our organization, but it looks like Jason Arnott will be travelling with the Blues on their upcoming road trip!!

Rumours:

The Rangers are in need of a Dman and rumour has it that Andrei Kostitsyn's rights till the summer of 2015 are in play. Kostitsyn almost certainly will finish the year in the KHL, but the NHL UFA has unfinished business in North America, a fantastic skillset and family in the NHL. P.O. could not be reached today to answer to the rumours, but these are very specific, and from a close source.
