canucks411
Woulda been nice, but in all reality: Bieksa - Hamhuis Edler - garrison Tanev - ballard Salo/Alberts We'll be ok without him

Ron Swansons Moustache
That's too bad, Edmonton's gonna be real scary in a few years if they can keep everyone. So sign Garrison and Allen now? lol those 2 dmen are more suited to helping us win the cup anyways.
RyanKeslord17
Schultz reminds me of Hodgson now. A whiney little unproven guy who hasn't proved anything wanting ice time in the NHL. Frack this. Go play all you want in EDM and come in last. Oh, and welcome to the team Jason Garrison

pimpcurtly
I called it....it was all bs about him been a huge nucks fan cause surely he won't have so many teams to choose from, he'll sign in Edmonton. I don't think that was BS. One of his coaches from Wisconsin was on 1040 yesterday and he was saying how all the guys would give him a hard time whenever the Canucks would lose. Soo there were obviously some other reasons for him nixing us.
Steve Carell
Hey, it would be nice if we got him, but we didn't. The guy is coming right out from college to play top 2 or top 4 NHL minutes.. Are you kidding me? This guy's development is going to be more screwed than it ever could've been under AV.

Angry Goose
I want a 4th line that torpedo's him every time they fore-check and the Sedins to completely undress him with their wizardry. Maybe Kesler can draw a penalty with a dive or something too,

AnInconvenienceBrah
Gillis fracked this one up badly, he can make it up by landing Weber.

Provost
Gillis played hard ball and he failed, how can you be the only team that doesn't offer him a spot on the roster and think you can land him. I would far rather he take that approach than entirely change the culture of the organization for one kid. You earn your ice time. They have said that repeatedly and acted on it. They sat over $4 million in Ballard and veterans like Alberts while bringing up a kid on a two way contract (Tanev) to play instead. To undermine that and land a kid with no NHL experience is bound to blow up in your face. If he wanted to be on the team he would be. I think they went far enough to fly out to Toronto to meet with him.
NightHawkSniper
Lot of insecurity in this thread. He would've been a nice, cheap addition but I wouldn't mind going after a more proven D-man.
