I'm gonna get flamed for this but my proposal would be:

Luongo, Edler, Schroeder, Raymond, 2014 1st

for

Bjugstad, Matthias, Petrovic, Upshall, Clemmensen

Florida needs scoring wingers and they are strong down the middle and on D, if the price to move Luongo is adding Edler, I say do it. Edler is inconsistent as hell plus he's the only D of value that doesn't have a NTC. Plus Edler could command 6m plus (depending on CBA) given some of the contracts we've seen lately, having a couple more players on ELCs would give some breathing room.

Gillis needs to show some balls. This trade could restock our prospect pool nicely with players that we need (big strong RH shots).

Then sign Arnott for 1 yr @ 2m.

Sedin Sedin Burrows

Booth Matthias (until Kesler returns) Higgins

Hansen Arnott Upshall

Lapierre Malhotra Kassian

Volpatti

Ebbett

Hamuis Bieksa

Garrison Ballard

Tanev Connauton

Alberts

Petrovic

Schneider

Clemmensen

So would I but I don't see any scenario where we get him without grossly overpaying.

Tallon says no because he enjoys letting the Canucks win trades, which they dont here

Haha I didn't see what the bad part was initially, then at 2nd glance I saw Edler and thaught "forget about it".

They would overpay if they want him and I dont want Upshall I would much rather keep Hansen myself.

Either way we get ripped in this deal.

Gudbranson and Bjugstad would take the sting out of losing the goalie that won us the Presidents Trophy

A stupid comment like that is a huge disrespect to Cory. He won 36 games in the past 2 years. You're making it sound like Luongo was the only goalie who played for the Canucks.
