canucklax
Abbotsford Aviators? the airport is there, everyone loves alliteration in sports names
ahf149
I don't know how Vancouver being expensive would effect them? They would be living in Abbotsford and apartments are not as expensive here.
Wilbur
If Abbotsford was affiliated with the Canucks I would definitely try to see some games. If Aquilini was able to helicopted that arena to a better location I'd probably go to even more. With parking a schmozzle and practically non-existant transit, that rink is annoying to get to. Unless that's changed in the last year or two.

Okanuck
This would be so awesome. How likely is it that this will happen though? I wonder what name they would go with?
Goal:thecup
It would be great to see the prospects on a regular basis. Abbotsford Bombers?
Hobbes!!!
Abbotsford Millionaires. ? I haven't bothered to go out to any heat games because, simply, I couldn't care less about the Flames and their prospects. I would easily go to ~10games if it was our farm team

Soren5556
I can definitely say I'd make the effort to go to a couple of the games a season to see our prospects
ButterBean
This makes tons of sense. I'm going to be very happy if this goes through. Only a 5 minute walk for me.
Nuckswillwinitall
and if they are on the road.... the one good thing about chicago is that it is one of the major hubs for all North American air traffic, meaning there are tons of flights. Nuckswillwinitall
Since the Canucks do not want to get rid of the Orca it seems, why dont we name the Abby team the Abbotsford Orca?
Tortorella's Rant
I think more fans would go catch a game knowing the team is part of the Canucks organization. I really think it would be a great move for both organizations.

VanGnome
Our prospects will have more travel than any other in the NHL, one of the leading factors that negatively impacts development. Not to mention getting thrown in the fish bowl early, which has been known to destroy player's development. As an Abbotsford resident, on the other hand, it would certainly be great for me and my city.
VanGnome
At first I was going to make fun of that name, and then I realized it was actually pretty awesome.
