Do you think there is any game that could possibly motivate our team more than that one, I'd really like to see the newer players get introduced to the depth of the rivalry and the veterans to shake off some rust to try and hand Chicago their potential first loss(If Minnesota doesn't do so on Wednesday).

Then hopefully that gives the team enough drive to last them until Kesler and Booth return to give the team a little more offense :)

I wouldn't get my hopes up, Hawks are playing really good right now I'm expecting a repeat of the Sharks game. Maybe if Kesler/Booth were here but we just can't match up against other top teams right now.

With the injection of youth and excelled play from doghouse players, if everyone was playing how they should be, then the Canucks very well could compete with top teams.

I used to love Keith because he played JR A in Penticton, but since that hit all I want is Kassian to plummel him to the ground so hard he cant get up. Then get Ballard to hip check Kane into the benches and he breaks a foot or something lol *evil vibes* errrr

Too bad Kes and Booth won't be back for this, I really hope AV and MG use their head and dress Vandermeer for this game. Throw him on the 4th line, he's played wing enough to be better then Ebbett.

I was hoping the LA game yesterday would've motivated them. The team that embarassed them in the playoffs last season.

Minnesota will probably win, snap their streak and they'll start a new one against us.

If we play the same way we have over the first 6 games against Chicago then I guarantee they'll put up double digits on us. This team has been deadly up front of late and we've had one of the worst defences in the NHL so far. There's a lot of work that needs to be done before that game if we even want to make the scoreboard look respectable let alone win.

Hopefully we can bring them down to our level by playing aggressive, passionate hockey and get them distracted with a lot of fights and penalties. Not expecting powerplays to do anything, but just a lot of physical activity will disrupt the flow and stop them from scoring on our defensive mistakes every second shift.

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't losing badly to the hawks in the past been the very thing that motivated the Canucks and pretty much put them at the top of the league? I mean I obviously don't want them to lose, but with the way the blackhawks are playing right now and how we keep throwing away games we should win, I am not holding my breathe, but hopefully if they do lose it will be just the thing this team needs to actually wake up and play hockey.

Though wishful thinking hopes that we break the blackhawks streak and that Kass takes out Keith..

Not so much hoping for a win as I am hoping for something to rile the team up a bit.

At this point, I'd much rather have them play great and lose because of a few unlucky bounces then win when they don't necessarily deserve it.

Cab drivers you're in for a tough night.

Patrick Kane's in town and he hasn't beat up an old person in a while.

Double Whammy.

Vandermeer would have to clear re-entry waivers first...

Certainly going to be our #1 defensemen. Give him a couple more years to improve his game and he'll be our new and improved version of Matthias Ohlund in no time

Keith needs to. Volpatti should just go after him and start feeding him shots whether or not he drops the gloves.

I think that the motivation will come AFTER this came against the Hawks. Seems to be a pattern that after getting thumped by Chicago in the early season then the Canucks wake-up and go on a streak of wins. Guess we'll see what happens on Friday.

I hope for one thing, no matter who is in net, what are the lines, who is in the lineup, I just want our team to get back what they have lost in the Stanley Cup Finals, their passion.

We have more than we think in common with ''Le Canadien de Montral''

Both have logo shapped in ''C''

Canadien and Canucks mean the samething

We both hate the Boston Bruins now

Alain Vigneault coached both teams

Rogers Arena, Centre Bell, it's phones company

We are blue white and green they are blue white and red

Our #1 goalie is from Qc, their #1 goalie is from BC

But we have one important thing different and I hope it will change after the next season, we don't have Stanley Cup banner
