[GDT] VAN Canucks vs NSH Predators - 03/14/13

I remember watching it expecting another low scoring test in patience and boredom and then goals started being scored. My thoughts were as follows....

Happy as a chappy for mr. Pinizzotto, assuming he plays this one. I bet he'll have some fire, first NHL game in front of the home crowd.
I think we'll see the Ebbett experiment end shortly, I saw nothing from his last game that tells me he should stay.
Loving the Booth-Higgins-Kassian line, some serious bangers right there.
I'll say 4-2 Canucks, Henrik, Booth, Edler, Daniel with the goals. Fisher and Legwand for NSH
I agree. I would like to see this line stick together the rest of the year so that they have chemistry come playoff time. I think they could be a real force in the playoffs.
Kesler can play with Raymond and Hansen.

Yet I will still watch.
I do really wish that the Predators would dump the trap and work on a high flying brand. The Nashville fans deserve it for being some of the best fans in the league.

If we can just get a few breaks in front of the net (not to mention a few bodies) then we could light up.
I have this feeling...........4-1 Canucks............2 goals and a "fight" for Raymond and one for Danny and one for Hansen.

Hopefully Luongo will start and do well. Not that I care about Luongo so much, as just wanting to not have another weird goalie decision to make if he is shaky.
Please please please let Booth score just to end the suffering.

Watch Bowness somehow mess up Tampa Bay's already amazing 2 powerplay units...he'll probably tell Stamkos to do drop passes from centre ice, take him out from the faceoff dot, and place him infront of the goalie

Luongo to play on Joe Thornton's wing, especially surprising as he doesn't play for the Sharks
I laughed at this more than I should have.

4-1 Nucks with an early goal by Nashville, then lights out by Lou, and a big finish by our boyz in blue.
Go Canucks Go!

I haven't been a supporter of the Canucks for long. Mainly because firstly I know nothing about NHL and secondly ESPN America only started showing NHL 3 years ago.

I die a little bit every time I see our daily revamped lineup. How long 'til the trade deadline again? Expecting a long, boring game with the Nucks getting the W. Yeah, baby...
"What players need is the right kind of strength and power. That includes learning to understand that leverage and positioning can be just as important as raw strength when it comes to winning battles in the game. It's more about timing and athleticism --and avoiding injury--than it is about how much you can bench press. I don't know how many times I've seen a guy with the physique of a defensive end line up a guy half his size, only to bounce off when he connects. Sure, there is room in the game for big guys who can throw their weight around. But for the most part, players are smart enough to see them coming--and strong enough to protect the puck when they arrive. There are trainers out there who know how to devlop hockey-specific strength--though a trainer can help only if a player follows the program. All too often, I've seen players sign up with the best trainer, but not show up for their workouts and never to reap the benefits."
