NuxFan09
Wow. The Haydar line gives up the puck AGAIN and it results in a breakaway the other way and a goal for Jason Zucker, his 2nd of the game. 5-2 Aeros.
NuxFan09
Amazing that these vets (Haydar, Sterling, and to a degree, Gordon) get free passes. Every game. These guys sure do make an impact offensively, that can't be denied, but they also cost the Wolves their fair share of goals against. Honestly counting down the days until the Canucks get their new farm team up and running, at which time they won't have to cater to these careless AHL vets and can develop home grown, hard working players who take their play at both ends of the ice seriously. RunningWild
^^ Yap. I've seen enough vets in the lineup over Canucks prospects. Can hardly wait to see a mostly Canucks prospects lineup where they can play important minutes.
DeNiro
Yep, there's a reason why these guys could never crack the NHL. Gotta play at both ends of the ice guys. Hopefully we will see Mallet and Sauve next game.
Hyzer
Glad to see Schroeder lighting it up with a taste of the NHL. He knows what to do now and he's making every man on his line better. That's what a good playmaking centre should be doing (aka Roy, anyone? )
canuck_trevor16
I kind of hope Wolves miss the playoff rather than see Arniel put AHL player in the playoff and get sweep 4-0.......likely that will happen if nothing is done

NuxFan09
Pretty decisive fight. Vandermeer was PO'd about something and gave Broda a solid beating.
NuxFan09
Aeros goalie Cody Reichard appears to be injured. Jeff Delauriers is entering the Aeros net to replace him.

NuxFan09
Deslauriers has bounced around everywhere, from the ECHL to NHL, this year but hasn't actually played a lot of hockey when all is said and done. He was starting in the ECHL but only in spurts between backup duties in the AHL and NHL. Let's see if the Wolves can get to him early.
NuxFan09
Great offensive pressure by the Wolves culminating in a big shot from the point by Hunt but Deslauriers stopped him.

NuxFan09
Was away from the computer for awhile but it looks like nothing really happened in the 3rd. About a minute left in the game, still 5-2 Aeros.
DeNiro
Jordan Schroeder - 2 Assists and a +2 Darren Haydar - 0 Points and a -2 Matt Climie - 4 goals on 13 shots It's pretty obvious who's stepping up and who's not.
NuxFan09
BIG game for the Wolves and they came up lame. Seems like they do well against the lesser teams in the conference and the out-of-conference games but when it comes to these important inter-conference games against teams they're in close competition with, they just fall flat on their faces. Someone on HFBoards mentioned that Arniel said he thinks Polasek is his best defenseman right now. Couple that with Schroeder's excellent play tonight and guys like Archibald, Lain and Blomstrand seemingly performing above expectations, we Canucks fans can at least take comfort in the fact our team's prospects are still playing well. DeNiro
This team isn't going anywhere with Arniel's system. This was a huge game for them where they could have been 3 points back of Houston with two games in hand. Arniel's go to guys Haydar, Climie, and Sterling do absolutely nothing in this game. He should go to Cannata next game, and sub in Sauve (a stay at home d-man), for one of his offensive guys. And put Grenier onto the top line to spark the offense, since he was Kalamazoo's best player. Bur he probably won't.
