    Well that's a horrible way to start my day: got a phonecall from my dad telling me that my grandpa is in hospital and probably wont make it a week. Horrible situation at the worst time of year for it.

      I've been there. Hearing is the last thing to go, so when it's time, make sure he passes on hearing how much you love him and how valuable his existence was to everyone.
