What has Green proven? I know the likes of Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Franzen etc WERE proven, but their core is just as old as ours. Now you're gonna add 2 more old players not even to mention the cap issues they would have. The Red Wings best days are behind them. They are an old team rebuilding on the fly. They are the eastern conferences version of us except they have success in their past and not heartbreak.

the knee jerk reactions are ridiculous. I think Torts deserves another year. He is passionate and wears his heart on his sleeve, amazing how quick people turn. Remember back in the beginning of the season hearing players like bieksa and luongo say things like "torts is real hands on" "torts wont let us quit.." bla bla... Pretty much the polar opposite of how Vigneault was, it was refreshing to hear. Now after a crap season everyone is calling for his head when there was clearly SO MANY VARIABLES that attributed to this collapse. Firing torts right away would be a mistake I think. #ONEMOREYEAR
