I agree. If we are not competing for a playoff spot come the trade deadline, we can try him out with the Sedins, might fit really good with them. Good shot, speedy, and can protect the Sedins even as a 18-19 year old. Why not? Unless we are pretty good and Vrbata or Burrows is having a great season with the Sedins, we can try it out.

I would like him at 2 years, 1.8 mil (per year). If he proves that he can and will be a top 6 forward, he will get an big increase. But he has to prove himself first.

I'm pretty sure Virtanen will play at least 9 games, but how he plays in those 9 games should determine if we should send him down or not. He might be ready, but we'll just have to wait until the preseason to figure that out.

Not only that, he isn't afraid of playing in NA like some of the other russians.

That's good news. He may put up a lot of points, which will lead to confidence playing in NA ice. It also shows he's not one of those guys who will ditch of to the KHL in 3 years, he's got commitment to playing in NA.

In a full CHL regular season (72 games) how much points would he get?

The best CHL team for him would be SSM. McCann is there, although they're going to lose some players they have plenty of talent which is perfect for Jasek. This year could be a huge breakout for a lot of the Canuck prospects.

Great 6th rounder. Anyone that can somewhat play in a tier 1 European league is a good pick at the 6th round.

Brisbois was a good pick, this pick seems like a ok pick. But not bad. And there is gotta be a reason on why teams are passing on Pilon. Probably bad attitude.

Doesn't seem like a bad pick. A type of player that we need, a guy who can move the puck well and play well defense and can quarterback the powerplay.
