  1. Plus Nichushkin has played with Benn and Seguin at times.
  2. Too bad. I'm pretty sure he's eligible for next year as well so hopefully we'll see him next year.
  3. Request a trade? So a 2012 pick that got 31 points in his first AHL year and is playing solid in the AHL would request a trade because he "hasn't been given a shot"? Don't worry, that's never gonna happen. And honestly Grenier looked better in his 1st nhl game so....
  4. He's a great skater. He's been hot in like the last ten games. He seems like he could be a guy we desperately need right now, a good skating dependable defenseman who's not non-existant offensively.
  5. look at my other posts. I said the call on Burrows was bad. I'm just saying that it's never a guys fault we lost a game. It was not Burrows fault and I know that. Same with the other guys. It's not one guy's fault because we lost, it's a team game. I agree that we should give a chance for Shinkaruk to play in Virtanen's spot tho. Young guys can learn by sitting at times.
  6. Guess what? Virtanen's a rookie. Are you saying Burrows and Sedins in their rookie seasons didn't make mistakes? They've turned out great for us. And I'm not blaming Hutton either, he's been great and I can accept his mistakes unlike you guys. I'm not insulting these players, I'm just saying that this is part of the learning process and you can't just ram on him because he made a mistake. Players grow as mistakes come.
  7. It's not that he's been playing bad, just because he is non existent some games playing 9-12 minutes per game doesn't meen he has been playing bad.
  8. So Hutton had a couple bad plays, Horvat had a bad penalty too, Burrows took a penalty on a 1 on 3 that ended up and leafs scored on the 5 on 3 and the defense overall was crap, but let's blame Virtanen because of a since this was his first bad game and he made a single turnover that ended up a goal. We're not pretending like nothing happened. It WAS his fault, and he needs to know better. But what you're saying is that his giveaway WAS the reason we lost, that it's all his fault. My point is all rookies make mistakes. Veterans will make a bunch of mistakes too, we saw that today. But to say it's all his fault because he made a single mistake in a 4-2 loss is ridiculous. Horvat made some mistakes, but we all know he's going to be a stud. McCann hasn't made a glaring mistake yet but eventually he will. Hutton has been everything and more we've expected, but he makes mistakes too. Sedins are arguably the most iconic players in our franchise, but they have made a lot of mistakes. Are they bad? No. There will never be a perfect team, but limiting the mistakes are something a good team does. Virtanen will learn and our veterans will help.
  9. Hutton was one exception. Kesler was one too but that was 12 years ago
  10. He looks like a pretty good prospect with high potential. Great to see him. It's great that Boeser and Demko are producing since our NCAA luck hasn't been pretty in the years past.

Not bad. It'd be funny if we comes back since he's been viewed as a bust.
  12. Honestly, he looked like the best defenseman on the nucks today.
  13. Virtanen was really good yesterday. He should get more minutes next game.
  14. Virtanen is the next Cam Neely, Horvat is the next Toews. Dynasty confirmed.
  15. I think he'll move over to winger when he gets closer to the pros. Canucks have good center depth, and he seems like a good fit to be a winger.
  16. Willie really needs to try the kid line again, it's clear Vrby is not a good fit with Horvat.
  17. Man Jake Bean looks awesome.
