  1. The 2016 Capitals are a prime example of why you don't build your bottom six to simply be adequate defensively and to provide grit and energy. You need them to score, hope Jimbo's taking notes.

      I agree. They needed a guy like Eric Staal on the third line to counter Bonino's line.  Ideally Hansen would look perfect on Washington as a Javelin type speedster who can chip in some offense.

       

      Winnik,Richards, Chimera, and Tom Wilson are scrubs. Even Higgins on the 4th line with Beagle would provide more than that bottom six did.

       

      Dan Hamhuus would be a big upgrade too on their depth D like Chorney,Orlov, Schmidt etc. This team is very close to being a Cup winner of ovided they get some luck and beef up their depth like teams like Pittsburgh and Dallas did.
