Years ago when I was the MOD and Guest Services Manager at a hotel some absolute Karen was losing it at one of my staff. I came out and she instantly yelled at me to get the manager. I went in the back, grabbed my name tag, went back out front and slowly put it on. Her jaw dropped which was only bettered by the look on her face as without a word from me, while she kept yelling, I refunded her and then told her her reservation was cancelled...on a sold out weekend. One of my fave memories of working in hotels :D

Thank you Captain Obvious. But it does matter signing for depth players and acquiring players with NMC or limited no trade clauses. A guy on a lower deal earning more is HUGE. Yes both those teams were built poorly and not made for playoff hockey.

My go to for a long while was the Hampton Suites near BC Place. Nice rooms, good beds and a solid free breakfast! However, I no longer have access to the Hilton friends and family discounts. $50 rooms was amazing. Then again I worked for Four Seasons and the free stays there were the best. Vancouver was hard but one year I had all my 10 days left in October and what do you know...the Maui property had 9 open nights. Then as was staff got upgraded to a 1br suite and a ton of comp meals. Now that was an amazing time
