Goldobin should walk over to Sutter and smack him upside the head.  Comments like Sutter's, challenging a guy's manhood, needs to be responded too.  Maybe Sutter is trying to get Goldobin to get angry?

My money is on Sutter in that conflict.

In all seriousness though, guys rib each other like that all the time. The difference is usually it's not out on blast to the media.

Maybe Goldobin will use it as motivation to prove Sutter wrong. Maybe that's what Sutter is going for making these comments publicly. I don't know. But in my opinion it seems to be getting blown out of proportion by the fans/media.

Society is so sensitive these days.

  2. Can't believe he's not in the lineup against his old team. If you're not going to play him, send him down to Utica where he can play it minutes in meaningful games as they push for a playoff spot.

Hopefully he recovers and gets healthy soon!

Holy crap! That's not good news... Get well soon Goldy!

Nobody said organizational depth was sexy.  I mean, I tried the pick up line "Hey Baby, you've got great organizational depth."  Instead of being flattered she just walked by me all confused and a little wary.  Live and learn, I suppose.

    This is pure Gold

    Our future sniper

Looks like Nikolay and I share a hobby (Recreational Shooting / Target Practice). Good to see he practices excellent trigger discipline/safety.

Request in advance from CDC. Let's keep this thread about Nikolay Goldobin as a player, and not turn this into a Gun debate.

    Here is the Prospect thread:

(He get's a Player Thread as he will likely play his first game for the team this weekend as he will be reporting directly to the Vancouver Canucks, and not the Utica Comets)

Loui Eriksson was pretty low on my list of free agents to target. At the end of the day when we were left with nobody and had signed Eriksson I was feeling hopeful that it would work out okay, and at least it was better than signing no one... How wrong I was. Signing no one in comparison to signing Eriksson was definitely the way to go... Hindsight is always 20/20.

What would be better at this point: Eriksson's 11 goals or Lucic's 12?

When did I say I wanted Lucic?

I was 200 % against signing Loui from day 1.

Really felt he was not the kind of player our club needed right now.  I  was hoping for a top 6 player with more grit that could ride a bit of shotty for the younger guys....

We needed a gritty top 6  guy in my opinion.   Preferably someone younger or at least not to the kind of terrible contract we gave to LE.   Wow , that deal is a bad joke.

I agree. That's why Okposo was top of my list. Grit and Offense in one package.

He seems sound positionally, and there is some smack in his body contact. Good set of wheels on him too.  Willie ought not to have a problem slotting into the lineup as the twelfth forward based on tonight's performance.

I agree, however Willie and I have had many differing opinions on player deployment in the past so we shall see! ;)

Our first look at Boucher tonight in a Canucks uniform and so far I like his skating and compete level. He seems to be responsible defensively and to finish his checks. He has already shown me enough to supplant Brendan Gaunce in the fourth line lw spot.

I think this thread will generate some worthwhile discussion, so I moved it to the Player Discussion Subforum.

Personally, I like what he brings so far as well. I hope we will have the opportunity to see more of him in the future. Especially if we ever get to see that killer shot of his. I'd like him to have the opportunity to see what he can do rather than to be buried when Megna no longer has the flu...

    Blind Date

Joe took his blind date to the carnival.

"What would you like to do first, Kim?" asked Joe.

"I want to get weighed," she said. They ambled over to the weight guesser. He guessed 120 pounds.

She got on the scale; it read 117 and she won a prize.

Next the couple went on the ferris wheel. When the ride was over, Joe again asked Kim what she would like to do.

"I want to get weighed," she said. Back to the weight guesser they went.

Since they had been there before, he guessed her correct weight, and Joe lost his dollar.

The couple walked around the carnival and again he asked where to next. "I want to get weighed," she responded.

By this time, Joe figured she was really weird and took her home early, dropping her off with a handshake.

Her roommate, Laura, asked her about the blind date, "How'd it go?"

Kim responded, "Oh, Waura, it was wousy."

This one made me laugh out loud! Hahaha

It ain't easy. You have to make sure you shuffle at just the right pace. You need just the right amount of piles. Just the right amount of sweat. Too many piles, too much sweat.....means you aren't quite efficient enough. Not enough sweat and piles you get accused of shirking your duties. It's a fine line.

Hang in their, Tiger. You will get there one day.

    And beware of staples.

Sounds like I still need a lot of development in the minors.
