I am well aware as I am very tuned in to VAN sports talk whether it be via CHEK, Sekeres/Price, VANCast or Twitter where the "heat" has been the topic of conversation lol. Plus I have tons of friends up in the Loops, Burnaby, Surrey, Van Isle, etc who are ALL letting me know how miserable they are. I understand why many do not have central A/C up there, but I bet that is going to change after this lol. I sincerely hope everyone are good now that temps are waning and send condolences for those who passed due to the heat. As a Texan who recently experienced an ice storm that affected many down here, it is ironic to see y'all dealing with what we do every summer. Does not make it any less tough to deal with though. At least with cold you can bundle up and do your best to stay warm whereas the heat can be stifling and I do not feel like walking around in public naked lol.

While this is not on overly-horrible take given your reference to Buff and Burnsy, OJ is nowhere near their level of skill or manliness. They are both All Stars with the ability to take over a series (in their prime) while OJ is pretty much a bust. I am not even sure he would be a good water boy at this point and that sucks because I am sure his injuries have contributed greatly to his decline. Who knows what he would have been had he stayed healthy, but even injury-prone Sami Salo still had enough skill to be a bonafide top-4 dman and one of our top-10 dmen of all time. After last night's meltdown (again), I would not be shocked to see another hockey trade involving Jonesy and Marner ala the previous trade for Joey. Money-wise it makes sense for both and Muzzin is a UFA so they will have a gap if they do not bring him back. Move Nylander up to Marner's spot with AM34 and maybe sign another 2/3rd line winger in FA with remaining money from Jonesy's new deal which should be about 2-3mil less than MM. Move makes sense for both teams as each fanbase is getting a damn good player who is considered top-10 at their position. TML will be making some knee jerk moves after this which, I think will involve Seattle to acquire potential picks for cap dumps.
