Well I got every single prediction in the first round wrong. Caps in 5- oops Lightning in 4- BIG oops Pens in 6- oops x2 Bruins in 6- oops x 3 Preds in 7- oops x 4 Jets in 6- oops x 5 Lames in 6- oops x 6 Knights in 6- oops x 7 So what I predict will likely be wrong. Blues in 6. I do not want Benn or Seguin going any further after they disrespected the Sedins.

Jim seems to be giddy about getting Jack here, but that would mean we’d have to give up something substantial to get there. Jim made it clear he’s not mortgaging anything or trading our core group so I don’t know if he can pull it off. I’m sure he’ll at least try something. Even if we stay around 9 or 10 I think we can still get a good player as Jim has hit two homeruns in a row in the last two drafts despite slotting down.

As a 'Nucks-Backer, What Burns Your Bacon?
BlueDragon23 replied to Nuxfanabroad's topic in Canucks Talk
Recently, it’s the Leafs that really grind my gears. Mostly due to their obnoxious media and fan base. Their team is even obnoxious at times! I cannot stand Kadri. It brings me great satisfaction knowing that they will likely get bounced early in the playoffs. Historically, the Hawks were always a loathed opponent. Keith- that mofo. I’ll never forget him headhunting Danny. Though the rivalry has died Lames- always hated them. Their team are nothing but annoying whining trolls as same as their fans. -
People scapegoating Benning and Green clearly don’t understand what a rebuild is. Benning has drafted some elite talent (Petey, Brock, Hughes) and found some gems (Gaudette) as well as our prospects making strides in the minors. Sure not all the contract signings have panned out but he has turned a mess that Gillis made into a promising future. Rebuilding takes patience and does not fix itself in 1 or 2 years. And patience is something most of our fanbase does not have.

Alright fellow fans, can we please focus on Quinn? Enough with Gretzky, Mario and Coffey. Those days are long gone!

Welcome Quinn! We are so glad to have you! And we hope to welcome your little bro in the summer if we finally get some draft luck!

[Rumor] Panarin Interested in Vancouver
BlueDragon23 replied to SuitnTie's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Putting the cities themselves aside... why would playing for the Panthers be attractive? The team has never won anything, and only made the finals once in their history. The arena is barely a quarter full and no one gives a $@*% about hockey. That is good reason to avoid Florida IMO. -

Good to see that players are seeing the potential we have in the upcoming years. (Thanks Jim!) With a really talented youth group coming up, Vancouver will be a very enticing place for free agents and players again. Good time to be a Nucks fan! -
Have to say, Quinn’s shot has improved a lot in the last few months compared to what I witnessed at the WJC. Can’t wait till he joins us!

Good. $&*% shootouts

Ahh yes, I remember those days; the shock of having to adjust to living by yourself with no parents. Having to cook for yourself, buy groceries, clean and drive yourself to school or work. Its an adjustment, but it makes you grow up and become an adult. Good on ya Kole.

Not even close. Sid knows how to play defence which McDavid seems to be struggling with. Sid makes everyone around him better. Not to mention he comes through when his team needs him he most (Pens with their back to back cups, Team Canada as well: Golden Goal at the Olympics, MVP at the World Cup) Guy’s a serial winner.

Think it’s way too early to write Dahlen off. It’s only his first year playing pro on North American soil. Much different than European style. He’s still very young, and will adapt accordingly. Just need to have patience. Not worried
