  1. Great post. Most people here won't let evidence get in the way of their own fear. Whatever lol.
  2. Go read the last 10 pages of this thread. There are posters getting all angry because they see couples out in public with each other and they are getting all pissed off about it. Fear mongering. I make some posts just giving stats that the deaths occuring from covid are mostly 86 years old and older. Posters accuse me of not caring about old people. Go read it. You and I obviously disagree about the pandemic. What I usually do when that happens it just block the poster so we don't have to interact. The CDC won't let me do that with you I guess. And by the way...I did discuss this with fact and evidence...but some posters are too emotional to accept that. Facts. Most people dying from covid are either 86 plus or have underlying health conditions. That does not mean I do not care about my elderly relatives. My point is almost all healthy persons will be fine if they get covid.
  3. Get over yourself and your admonitions. I said I was stressed when I had to self isolate when I was reading about covid all day long. I also said that when I went back to work weeks ago things were much more normal being out in the world and not locked up at home. I am less stressed out not being cooped up all the time. I, and my family, practice social distancing like we need to. But my point obviously escaped you....the world is not coming to an end and BC is doing very well. And some posters on here are fear mongering and sound over the top scared which is unnecessary. Edit: your post above mine makes you sound very self important like your opinion matters more than anyone else. It doesn't.
  4. You need a mental health check, and then a reading comprehension check little man. My wife's parents are almost 80 and doing fine. They are smart and stay home and we get them what is needed. Meanwhile, I work on the front lines every day and am not in panic mode like you are. Sad... Edit: ...but please, continue to fear monger and make up meaning on what others post. I won't bother reading your uninspired silliness any longer. Enjoy your fear. 2nd Edit: ... and before I purge you...your post below is still my favorite hahaha....It is so ridiculous it is funny...or sad!! gurn replied to CBH1926's topic in Off-Topic General I was talking to a friend last night and he had a thought regarding a potential treatment: If alcohol kills the COVID, why not try inhaling alcohol through a vaporizer. Might keep the lungs clearer, help kill the virus. I though about it, and on the surface it seems logical. But how and where do you get a hold of somebody that would actually know if it has a chance or not?
  5. Lots of panic in this forum. For those that are 70 years old and older, I understand the stress. Things in BC are going very well. No need to panic.
  6. The median age for covid deaths is 86. That means most people that die from covid are 86 or older. That is why some states are opening up their economies at the end of the week. They decided old people don't matter. Not saying I agree...but that is what trump and governors in states like georgia think. Should Canada open up to save the economy by sacrificing old people? I don't agree...but many people do...
  7. Whatever happened to Alf? Did the covid get him?
  8. haha..man some of you just make up stuff out of posts. Do you even have a job? We were discussing children going back to school. You make stuff up as bad as trump... Edit: I was being rational. Look up the definition. But obviously, people like you that have been locked up for so long are no longer rational. Or maybe you never were....don't ever remember reading your posts before this pandemic. If you don't want to be rational and respond to my posts about what was actually typed, why don't you get off the keyboard for an hour.
  9. I already said people can't be idiots about it. What is your point? Kids that do go to school need to stay away from old people. Yes. Simple fact. Thanks.
  10. I get your sentiment. But unfortunately children die every day in this world. In fact, 150,000 people die every day on this plant. Fear mongering while ignoring evidence helps no one. PS: 118,000 people died today on Earth. 280,000 babies were born today.
  11. I honestly feel bad for all those of you that have to stay home for extended lengths of time. Early on I had to self isolate. I was off work for 14 days and was online way too much reading about covid. I went a tad bit squirrely. I then went back to work (emergency services) and after that first week back realized things in the world are not nearly as bad once you actually get to leave the house and interact with others...keeping social distancing in tact and being smart about it. Weeks have gone by now while I have worked and I no longer have any stress about this pandemic. I am smart about it but not worried. But my wife who was laid off and has been at home for weeks is so ramped up. While this is a serious situation it is not the end of the modern world but those locked up are really worked up. My advice, which I have given to my wife numerous times, is to stay the hell off of social media because it literally does nothing to help (once a person understands to self distance).
  12. 3 out of 3 humans from 0-17 years old had underlying conditions which is probably why they died. However, I totally agree with you in that any homes where children live with people over 70 or so should not go back to school to reduce risk to older people.
  13. Huh? That doesn't jive with actual evidence. The kids have a higher chance of getting run over by a covidiot driving their car.
  14. I loved that we got Guddy. But there is no sugar coating it. Florida fans thought, for the most part he sucked. He was not good at all in Vancouver. In fact, he was bad. Then he was bad in Pitts. That sums it up imo.
  15. The planet is culling the stupid.
  16. Jesus? Never heard of him. But you don't need an omnipotent being to tell you the orange buffoon is a moron. He tells us that himself....day...after day.....after day......after day......
  17. The people that vote for trump have no idea what "kaanadaaa" is.
  18. In fairness to the many great americans I know, the ones wanting to open everything up now are mostly a bunch of inbred hill billy types that think Canada can only be gotten to by a ride across the ocean. The americans with brains, the ones isolating, are the ones that usually visit us imo.
  19. Haha yeah ok. Agree to disagree. A long distance runner is an actual athlete. A golfer? Not so much haha. ath·let·i·cism the physical qualities that are characteristic of athletes, such as strength, fitness, and agility.
  20. Agree strongly with your post and I hope it works out for you. A couple on here need to reign in their opinions about everyone staying home when they don't know others situations.
  21. It would be weird. But i would prefer hockey to no hockey. That is just me though...
  22. Maybe so, but we all know how the world works. Those with money get whatever they want when they want it. The billionaire NHL owners will get whatever kits they want. Rightly or wrongly.
