It wasn't so bad but as GM he needs to be more diplomatic and say something the fans can't take and run hate with it. Dahlen got a lot of hatred because fans looked at him as a diva or someone who didn't want to go through AHL. If Benning had been more careful with his words it had stayed with only speculation from the fans. Not as bad as it turned out to be.

A good one? Learn something from Deb instead of copy/paste. Read, understand, elaborate....

Benning is a GM. He is the head of the organisation. He is paid to be a diplomat. Not an instigator. He is there to put out anything that is beginning to burst out in flames. If he failes, what signal that about the whole organisation? Is the sports psychologist any good when the GM can't be diplomatic?

We definately agree on Petey. But regarding management we disagree. I have higher standards regarding management.

Goodness me, is there anyone on this forum that understands what I talk about when I say Benning did a bad thing when he badmouthed Dahlen? It is not about Dahlen... Dou you understand that now or shall I say it again?

I hope you "attack" every single poster that brings in players they don't like in every single thread here... I put my focus on a completely different aspect and that is man management. Wich seems to be very bad in Canada.

It's very good for this forum to have such a decent and respectful poster as you. You are one of the best posters I've seen on different forums so don't take my words/opinion personally. You know I don't like Benning after what he did against Dahlen. Think for a while what Petey thought inside when a best friend of him is getting such hatred from fans due to Bennings way of handle the fairly difficult situation. I can promise you that one of the things that led to Peteys fatigue/goaldry was that incident. I'm talking about what the GM for the whole canucks did... If he makes such a big psychological mistake, do you understand why I have a bad view of the HR/psychology inside the canuck organisation?

Sports psychologist sounds like it is more about goal projection etc... But it's better than nothing.

If only people(Green, Benning) tries to understand how bad behaviour(egoism, bullying etc) affect Petey. A big No if everyone want Petey to give 100% and focus on hockey. So the rotten fans that bully Loui Eriksson attack Petey also. I've asked why fans/management don't seem to understand how important psychology is. Human relations is one of the important keys for winning.

Well, one problem is that I am used to answer when people discuss or mock my opinion. So when Canuck73 question my opinion I answer. This is the thread where the finns headcoach is talked about. Hence why I mentioned Green. I had no reason to create or look for a Green thread just for a small comment. I got a simular reaction from a "normal" poster when I defended my opinion against Benning. That time I just answered a lot of posters who questioned or mocked my opinion. Can you explain why I should be quiet and not the other posters? Who is the troll?

You have an unhealthy eager to defend both the headcoach and the GM. Why is it a minefield saying anything negative about Green and Benning but bash your own players is legal?

The finns did much more than ride a hot goalie. They adapted strategies that NHL-pros couldn't handle. With their coach Pouliot and Gudbranson would have done just fine. But with Green he let them hang out and dry with the effect that fans turn their backs against their own players instead of the coach.

So when teams rebuilding they dont play defence? Injuries doesn't matter either. A coach play the game with those available. Hence the finns won WC with amateurs compared to NHL.

You could just let my comment disappear.. So why answer in the first place? I have an opinion based on what I've seen regarding coaches. Comments on players fly here all the time so why not coaches? I'se said a few times that the way he coach only fits a coach that tank. I think that sucks... A coach is supposed to get the team to win.

For no reason??!! The games I've seen Green looked as he was tanking. So bad was the defence. Then the way he tinkered with Peteys brain should be questioned. But I think you are only confused by what I written so don't bother if so. If you understand what I'm talkin about, have an intelligent discussion about if. If not, stay quiet and keep you confusion for yourself.

Ok, I thought Canada got the lead... Fire Green and hire the finnish coach as he outsmarted them all, including you. Just look at 3-1... The fin shot when Murray couldn't see anything. Do you think it was a cooncidence?

The finnish team has take three wins in a row againsta star filled teams. So it's not a one gamer...

The finnish coach read the oppsition right, outsmarted them, and guided the players to win after win. Green has done the opposite.

Not only... The defence let Lankinen see most of the action. The part Green has a problem to learn his player to do. When they actually play defence.

I say hire the finnish coach. With him in play offs we're guaranteed success.
