Ok, let's get this out there. Canucks finish third in the division. Miller and Pettersson will score 30+ goals. Hoglander will have 25+ points Canucks win Stanley Cup with Loui Eriksson scoring the Cup winning goal as his only goal in the playoffs.

[Signing] Flames Sign Josh Leivo
ForestFalcon replied to Millerdraft's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
At this point, I should have expected another one to go to Calgary. XD A bit unfortunate Leivo suffered from injuries towards the end of his tenure here, hope he can bounce back. Just so long as it's not against us. -
Knew something had to be in the works after clearing that cap space letting our guys walk. Pretty sure this is the kind of deal many have been dreaming about Benning actually doing. Anyway, hopefully adding Schmidt will help us with one of our main problems from last, the vicious cycle of getting trapped in our end, barely getting the puck out for a change and continuing to be hemmed in. Would be nice to not have to deal with quite so many 20 shot against periods.

[Signing] Canadiens sign Tyler Toffoli
ForestFalcon replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Well this is one way to solve our cap space problems. Regardless what happens from here, it's going to be interesting to see how things go for next year. Looks like we're planning ahead for the expansion and big paydays for Hughes and Petey. There's a real possibility the team may not actually sign any big name players this off season to give the team more flexibility for when they can actually start freeing up some cap from the bigger contracts on the team next offseason. -

Dream On: Vancouver Canucks 2020 Playoffs Tribute
ForestFalcon replied to samirjaver's topic in Canucks Talk
In that video are definitely some of the best memories of Canucks hockey I've had since 2011, thanks for putting it all together. It really is a bit hard to sort yourself out, after riding a high so long watching them this playoffs. I'm not really ready to put a lot of thought into what comes after with this club, but I'm still happy to relive some of the memories from this year. I don't want to let the pain of the loss dominate over the amazing firsts for our young guys that we saw this playoffs. Well, I'll look forward to all the new memories these guys will bring to us, because you know these guys aren't going to just be a flash in the pan. -
One thing those last 3 games against Vancouver probably did was destroy the confidence of some of Vegas' top goal scorers. Hard to feel good about your game when you can't put a puck in the net. Also, think this is probably the first time in a long time where I'm actually ok with Dallas winning. So if they want to win it all, they better get it done now, cause I'm sure I'll be back to hating them once I've watched some more Dallas-Vancouver games.

Thank you Canucks for the wonderful memories and allowing me to keep dreaming as long as I did. What a wonderful group these guys. I love them, and love all you guys who've stuck by them to the very end. I stand by the fact they are one of my favourite Canucks teams I have ever watched! CANUCKS FOREVER!

So, I’d already accepted after that heartbreaker in Game 4 our Canucks were probably not going to win this series. So I made peace with that fact before Game 5 and intended to treasure every single minute of Canucks hockey that I see, regardless of score, for the rest of this playoffs. It was a magical enough run up to that point, I’ve been ecstatic watching them. So I love what they’re doing here, winning when everything seems to be going against them, it’s been the happiest I’ve been watching hockey in years. This will go down as one of my favourite teams regardless of game 7. Thanks for the great memories guys. Keep this dream going as long as it can! GO CANUCKS!

We had to hear "I'm Still Standing" at least once in an Elimination game right? So proud of the boys, absolute dominance by Vegas for 40 minutes, but they stayed in it, answered the 1st goal immediately, got the lead, and both goals were absolute beauties. Demko had a magnificent game, I'd have no problems if he gets the net the next 2 games. Not a knock against Markstrom, I just think maybe him being a new face for Vegas may just work to his advantage, maybe they'll get frustrated by him and not have an answer. Funny, felt way better watching this game than the last one, even when they had the lead I was anxious that game, felt way better watching them defy all the odds in a game where they were getting peppered. Anyway, love this team, love this result, glad we get to enjoy this feeling for longer! I feel like I never see the Canucks win this type of horribly outshot game, so it's an amazing feeling. GO CANUCKS!
