Would be a major shock if he played any games this season. He has long COVID post sickness symptoms. He needs a full year to try to get healthy then sign for vet minimum or PTO.
He's sounding like he basically has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome brought on by COVID-19, which would be a devastating combination. Hopefully this doesn't end his career.

What towel thing are you talking about?
When Roger Neilson waved the white towel and Smyl lifted one on his stick, in May 1982........that's when this whole conspiracy started!!

Where did Brubacher go? Is he injured? I haven't heard any mention of him since shortly after we acquired him.
-
Didn't notice him tonight at all, which is exactly what you want with a youngish player just called up from the minors!
-
And he had to play more tonight that Boudreau undoubtedly intended, given Poolman leaving in the 1st.

Benning would still be here had he not re-signed Green.
Well that's a scary thought!

Can Lawrence Gilman be added to the poll? That's who I was going to vote for.

Would Stan make a good poho? His reactions of wanting to restore previous culture a real positive.
I was thinking the same thing myself.....

Agree with all you said. However, Lammikko was not gritty. He was Kyle Weelwood’esque in the physical department…
Yes, and I think they may be putting him back in the lineup tonight just so Boudreau can decide if he wants to replace him with Nash or not.

I think the plan is always to kind of keep Smyl around in roles where he can't wear out his welcome and be fired.
Yes. Not a repeat of the Trevor Linden plan.

Smyl sounds so nervous.. needs his notes..
He was never much of a public speaker, or much of speaker at all. He was one of those captains who truly led by example.

For some of "The Millenials" out there who haven't seen how bad things can really get, trust me when i say that things can & will get much worse if aqua-Lini continues his "Absentee landlord" routine with this franchise. This is only the beginning. Thousands of fans in the stands tonight, here on CDC and at home, have reached the breaking point!
Yes!! This is what I foresee tomorrow morning at the doors of Rogers Arena!:

5 points in 10 games so far! Offensive explosion at 32 years old?
This is where someone would usually make a comment about small sample size...but not me though....I'm not like that!
But seriously, it looks to me like Schenn may have actually benefitted from being sent down to Tampa to work on his skills for those couple of years!!

And chubby cheeks, the kind grandma like to grab.
Sounds like this is coming from someone who had his cheeks grabbed by grandma many a time!

It depends if Horvat wants to stay in Vancouver. If he's committed to the team sure but if he plans to leave after his contract, now is the best time to trade him if there is a bidding war for him
Have there ever been any indications that Bo is not committed to the team??

I sense these are all the applicants replying to the Canucks' "Front Office Help Wanted" ad.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him back on waivers in a another month or so...once Ottawa figures out how ineffective he really is.

[Report] Canucks recall Madison Bowey
in Canucks Talk
Posted
The fact that both Juulsen and Brisebois got recalled before Bowey doesn't sound to be a ringing endorsement of how the club has viewed his play so far this year.
