  1. Honestly if this is market JB HAS to be trying to move Tanev for a mid first (with retention) of course. It’s a deep draft from 3-20 - we could solidify the rebuild if he can pull it off and is willing, both those issues are TBD. And even if he is willing, there always has to be a dance partner but this trade certainly sets a positive precedent.
  2. I think they’d prefer to move Turris as he really hasn’t fit in / adjusted to the west very well. My guess is given they have no issues this year, they hope he has a bit of a a resurgence and ship him out mid season for a younger center
  3. Yes in that neither would waive a clause in their contract that would allow him to trade them. Gosh darn, tort law is annoying isn’t it?
  4. But but but no way Tanev is worth a FiRsT RoUnDeRz!!! Smh of course he is! Agree with you and shows what we could get it Jim just realizes we need to move on.
  5. I have a feeling the Nucks are playing poker here. 1) at ten they want a forward or a d other than broberg. They want to see if anyone below wants him and will trade up. 2) my guess is they have their eye on Seider, Harley or York.
  6. I think if Broberg goes earlier it would be to Edmonton. Anaheim has a pretty solid d corps and prospects do they aren’t in desperate need. Up front they are, Kesler, Perry aging our, Getzlaf only has a few more years of elite play left. I think they go with a forward, but Edm most definitely is a high probability to take any dman.
  7. He was talking up Glass and Vilardi the year we took Petey - so there's that
  8. Interesting quote from an NHL exec on Broberg at the end of the article. Says he stood out at the combine and will be gone by 10 https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks/ben-kuzma-edler-uncertainty-makes-draft-play-for-broberg-possible-with-canucks-10th-pick
  9. Proved your point? What's that? that you can't do basic math? I had to explain grade 2 math to you 4 times now and apparently you still don't understand it? ok
  10. 31 teams x 6 players is the top 6 = top 186 forwards in scoring would = top 6 scoring 37 points is within that group Not sure how I am wrong but carry on. Perhaps talk to someone who can help you or find a calculator? The stats speak for themselves. You're debating that top 6 stats based on NHL players numbers in 2018-2019 aren't top six stats and aren't facts? really? huh? http://www.nhl.com/stats/player?reportType=season&seasonFrom=20182019&seasonTo=20182019&gameType=2&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=points LOL now I've heard it all Oh by the way, there are numerous dmen in there so 37 points is well within the top 6 range. If you'd like to argue basic mathematics, call up an elementary school teacher, don't waste my time any longer.
  11. how many top 6 players are there in the league? 31 teams x 6 = 186 Virtanen 20 pts 2018 25 pts, 2019 -15 goals with little pp time, primarily 3rd and 4th line minutes and role Tied for 172 in goal scoring, and that includes some dmen This places his goal scoring at a top 6 level, even when playing a bottom 6 role 37 total points would put him in top 6 numbers in both categories. I guess I can see what a 22 yr old may be capable if given offensive ice, power play time going forward when looking at his trajectory and his current goal scoring pace in a bottom 6 role "LOL"
  12. That's exactly what I was going to say. Also, the knock on him has been offensive decision making, which as a dman can be improved and he's not going to be counted on to be an offensive driver from the back end Also, I have to wonder, just as JB was talking up Glass and Vilardi, maybe he's got his eye on someone like Seider and doesn't want him taken early. Teams know the Nucks are doing well scouting, it could make them think twice.
  13. we'd have to take some salary back but they are at a point where they are trying to go for it so maybe they do. They'd probably prefer Stecher. Cheaper, younger and not brittle. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/jets
  14. he's a 24 yr old 2 way all star center who's good at ALL parts of the game from Offense to Defence to faceoffs, special teams and has size aka Ryan O'Reilly/Bergeron lite....and on a very friendly contract, that's his value High quality prospect, first and a 2nd I think you're underrating his value or a player of similar ilk in the league. Whether Colorado would ever pay that, I doubt it but that doesn't change the value of a player such as him around the league
  15. complaining about this trade as being look at the NYR vs Canucks is implying you're complaining JB didn't make the move or similar. If you can't re-sign a player you don't give up that much, NYR clearly believe he wants to play there, and he certainly didn't want to play in canada
  16. Buff and Morrisey will be their anchors now and Pionk is no slouch. This is the cost of having too many expensive forwards up front. They also have to re-sign morrisey next year. They dont have much room
  17. They still can't afford Myers https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/jets Laine 8 mil Connor 6 mil 25 mil in cap space and need to sign 8-9 players with around 10 mil Myers is going to get 7....math won't work
  18. And so you wanted JB to trade our #8 and Juolevi for a guy who stated he wants to play in the USA and wouldn't re-sign here next year? That makes alot of sense smh
  19. Agree with all but they are in a cap bind https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/jets They have 25 mil in cap space and Laine/Connor are going to take 15 of that. Then they have to sign another 8-9 players. Myers is still gone as a result
  20. Not sure if they can afford him ALF, they still have Laine, Connor to sign, and only 25 mil in cap space, and Morrisey next year. Laine is going to get 8 ish is my bet, Conner 6 ish so that leaves around 10 mil to fill out their roster and they have 8-9 other spots to fill. Myers is likely still gone. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/jets
  21. American Kid going from Winnipeg to NYC? They just have to line up a few models and bottles and he's going to love it there. He'll re-sign for certain. What pro athlete wouldn't want to make a killing and live in NYC?
  22. Yep, probably have a good chance of re-signing him given he wants to play in the states. Cue the JB haters screaming we could have given up the 10th alone - ya and lost him to UFA next year lol
  23. Colorado needs a true 2c, its well known. I would never want to see him traded but the 'idea' of them wanting him is plausible given their hole there (most teams would want Bo, but you get my point). Only thing that would make me 'consider' it as JB, is, Makar #4 and their 2nd. Then you have to think long and hard. Not sure Colorado would make that move though
