I visited Chicago 20 years ago. That was the thing I was most disappointed in. The deep dish was pretty meh. Famous Dave's Ribs on the other hand. Nom nom nom nom....
As bad as the winters are there. And how the wind cuts like a knife. Chicago was one of the better places in the States. I imagine there's some neighbourhoods that's like the Downtown East Side.
And you might want to wear a flak jacket. But its a decent place, not as good as Seattle though.
