exactly... miller was not signed as 100 point player... he was given a PPG game player contract... his value is perfectly intact... I remember the people that were okay with signing miller and ok with him regressing to a PPG player..

it was probably the honour that he was selected that is more important to him than actually playing the game... some players dont like playing the all star game that is a well known fact... im sure his wife will be happy he gets to spend an extended amount of time with him before he heads off to new york

schenn a 6th defenceman is going to return a top 4d?

those are 20 ES strength points though which ranks just below Miller and just above Garland... and he is going to make our PP team... and probably make our second line... i wouldnt be surprised if he does very well with our team...

i mean this seems in line with most high end rentals... a player, a prospect and a 1st.... This just means we are going to be making more trades.... surely any of our wingers are up for grabs

a D+1 2nd overall pick that hasnt turned 19 yet? and a another first on top of that? fleury was traded for a second... Nedeljkovic was traded for the rights to backup bernier and a 3rd... ottawa gambled on murray and was traded for a second and a journeyman 4th round pick prospect. schneider was traded for the 9th overall who was hands down a better goalie than demko is now. Luongo was traded for a very promising goalie prospect and a aging grinder.... and demko is getting traded for the second overall and a 1st.....??

it will be interesting to see if he will be getting more minutes than Bemstrom... another winger who he will be competing with who gets 4th line minutes and plays the PP. or if he will steal any PP minutes from the struggling sophmore sillinger. These are the 2 players that he will be competing with for minutes, until of course Gustav Nyquist and Yegor Chinakov come back from injury... than likely he is competing with Bemstrom for the final spot on the roster... as far as i know they are both on pace to return right after the break. My prediction is he is a healthy scratch for 50% of the games for the remainder of the season, unless they decide to give sillinger a stint in the AHL to regain his composure. my guess he gets 4 points over the remaining games. my guess is at least 1 forward will be waived at the end of the break surely one will be Foudy and if the other player is a forward it will likely be Pederson and if its a dman it will be blankenburg who is exempt. highly unlikely that pederson is waived again but you never know. you all really liked pederson and how he played on the nucks, but many of you dont know that he played some of the most sheltered minutes of anyone in the league ranking 467th in the league.... hooray when he is pitted up against the worst that the NHL can offer, he performs a slight hair above mediocrity.

people can change but its not some AHA moment... thats just one problem with cancel culture. some people are really fricking stupid and many of these stupid people are easily influenced and hard headed, its not their fault they were born with low IQ. if you provide them with evidence they will provide you with theirs, it doesnt even matter if someone proved their evidence false, they will think you are lying and cheating them because likely they do not have the full capacity to even understand the evidence.. everyone remembers forrest gump right? his iq was 75... for everyone that has a iq of 125 there is a equal amount of people with a iq of 75... 15% of the population has a iq 85 or lower... many of these people and many of their offspring will perpetuate the same beliefs they were raised by because they have very few capacities to think for them selves... this is why we have the saying.... “Never argue with an idiot they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you through experience and my favorite. “A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer.”

the same schenn who was a healthy scratch for 10 or so games in 2020 playoffs? the only reason schenn is a plus is because of hughes. remember that many top 4 dman do not command a first... ahh frick it.. i could spend hours providing evidence on what the value of schenn is, and even if provided very clear very sound logical evidence you would still disagree. I bet you were in the same camp that thought motte was worth a first or second last year too?

its just so weird... their is obviously a difference of opinion between many religious and LGBTQ communities. obviously both sides have many people in their communities that hate each other not supporting the pride events feels wrong but i also feel that forcing someone to participate in pride events is also wrong. I feel that both sides are being intolerant of each other and frankly both are based off idealities that are impossible to achieve in mass. you will never find ANY subject in the world that has 100% inclusivity... forcing inclusivity on people is fricking stupid.

its an interesting topic for sure... we do not allow people that take medications like corticosteroids which is a required medicine for many people that suffer from rheumatoid athritis because it gives an unfair advantage, we do not allow spinters with legs designed for ultimate speed in the olympics (non special) it feels that the transitioned male to female has very similar advantages to the two i mentioned above. there has always been discrimination in sports that protected the spirit of fair and competitive play and if you allow one instance it all becomes a farce... might as well just remove all gender and artificial and medical enhancements to maximize true inclusivity.

Some of you are overvaluing schenn. he is not a top 4 defenceman, sure he is doing a very decent job playing top 4 minutes with one of the best defencemen in the league. His game lacks in too many areas and the reason that he has success is because hughes and him compliment each other very well. he is likely underpaid though, i think a decent comparable would be Hakanpaa from dallas who makes 1.5 million. he is not worth a 1st, and it would not surprise if we could only find a team willing to pay a third.

i guess next years second round pick is gone too?
