  1. I Loved his spirit. You never have to feel alone or misunderstood, even when it feels like you are. we are all unique, there is no such thing as a cookie cutter human. Remind yourself why you are great, like everyday, when you can't do that for a while, you need help. And it's normal to need help, everyone in this world needs help. if you don't know how to ask for help, ask a professional! There is People in this world whose only Job is to help you. Don't believe the demons inside you trying to trick you out of your better Judgement. tune them out, and listen to yourself Breath for 1 Minute. Now comes the hardest part dialing 10 digits, or walking into a pharmacy and talking to a pharmacist, or a clinic or the emergency room. whatever's easier do that. It's gets easier from there kid, You got this!
  2. I would just be happy with a giant version of hogz
  3. cheers, I won't argue that self change isn't possible. therapy isn't a bad thing, it's not a punishment at all. You can talk about anything it doesn't even have to be about negative things, and it can be still very constructive.in fact in my experience they generally help you guide you to your goals not focus on past behavior. Usually I see a therapist about 4 times a year, after an hour I'm recharged and loaded up with Idea's and information and recommended books and video's to watch. I usually go because I decided I want a change in my life and go in for encouragement and support. That's all a therapist is someone who guides you through to being your best you. you can focus on trauma if it haunts you, but generally you will only focus on one subject for 3 months and you can take a break whenever you want or sidestep for a session. I Don't know why their is a stigma on therapy in 2021

  5. @Devron44 haha, it would be amazing if rafferty is resigned and immediately makes a impact. i'm dreaming, but i really thought he was our most nhl ready d-man last year. dobber has gadjovich ranked as a second line potential 40point player ( lind 52 point potential), but his probability is ranked low 4.5/10 vs linds 8.5/10 https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/players/tyler-motte if you check out mottes potential compared to other players that are 26 with 0.38ppg you will notice they all are 2nd line player potential with about 45 points at the top end. too me that is saying we have a second line potential player making 1.2m a year, probably because of his injury proneness. 1.2m is barely a blip on a 81.5 million cap and is a fair deal for only playing 40 games a year. and honestly i don't even think its a bad thing to have 1 or 2 3rd/4th line injury prone players on your team. it gives a chance for all your prospects to see some play. if i had a choice I would have 4 mottes on my team.(4 starting and 2 filling in) he is 14th in the league in hits/60, 4th in blocked shots/60, 15th in giveaway/takeaway %/60, 33rd in pk killing for players who average over 1:30 sh toi/60 and 189th in ES PP/60 (horvat is 181 miller is 171 copp 154 crosby 124 boeser 99 pettersson 31)
  6. mac is one of the bottom 6 i would consider keeping on, there's no reason to believe he can't improve on this year. but i don't believe he will be anything other than a 4th liner. Lind did not look ready, doesn't mean he isn't worth protecting. we didn't see Gadjovich but imo his style of player (slow powerforward) is not very successful offensively in the NHL (powerplay maybe, but will he ever get any minutes?). I am really torn on protecting Gadjovich over Motte. Motte is a excellent player and a real team player. there is no doubt in my mind motte would be selected if left available. we all know bo improved his skating, but it was due to technique not athletic ability all i know about our ahl prospects other than highlights is whats on dobber hockey. I wonder if they are not playing rafferty on purpose? https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/frozenpool_depthchart.php?team=VAN
  7. tonys dad is a openly racist individual boasting about making racist slurs "everyday, everyday" he was programmed to be a racist. It happens. the difference between a Openly racist person to a secretive racist is the difference between being employable in 2021. it takes about 2 years of therapy to successfully work on issues, which for tony are likely many. It's a very hard process for some, because it forces you to change your whole belief system. and may put himself and some of his family in a negative perspective. He has to make amends, otherwise the vast majority will believe he is not deserving of a second chance. a co-worker of mine got arrested for assault causing bodily harm 5 years ago, a bar fight where he gave the guy a nasty cut. I told him it would bode well for him if he went to AA, anger management and a therapist once a week. he didn't listen and was sentenced to 3 months of jail time. it was something like 5-6 months between the arrest and trial, im guessing a judge would have been more lenient if he was actively working on his issues.
  8. I have looked at his stats and other than this years his positives outvalue his negatives. if he shows he can work on his issues by seeing a therapist (he should be doing it on his own accord) and comitting to see a therapist through the contract, that bodes well for him. Hockey is under the limelight for racism right now, and tony's a big part of that. I believe in second chances, but the person needs to prove he is serious about rehabilitation.
  9. listen, fooled is a strong word. if you don't think he can give low budgets for management and high budgets for players, thats kinda weird. maybe Aquilini has experts that told him that dollar for dollar, players have the most impact on a team. which is probably true. i look at benning as a yes man, and his goal was to return the team to a playoff team, not a cup winning team. because money
  10. aquilini is also a smart man. he knows that making the playoffs=cash!!!!
  11. He's not lying, but if we were not going to keep tanev, stetcher was definitely not going to be the one who replaced him. 12. best post on this thread by far. I remember when the simpsons were actually funny.
  13. it's one of my greatest flaws, thinking logistics influenced by emotions. he will likely get a contract to display his talents at preseason. But, the nhl bottom 6 is a wasteland filled with hungry youngsters looking to feed on struggling players.
  14. disagree, there may be a few people auditioning for spots on the 4th line and Chatfield may be auditioning as a depth defenseman
  15. his name is Elias Petterson, he helped many get thier career years last year.
  16. its a lot of the same people who were dissing highmore earlier. who were dissing benning before that
  17. haha it's a joke, maybe your unaware but the stereotype is that they are famously reserved, the joke was that we could throw them off thier game with some personal questions. haha, i should know better to make light of a situation, too many people get offended over stereotypes that aren't even remotely offensive.
  18. nords? if they start dominating the play we can just make things extremely uncomfortable for them. like asking them questions like "isn't the weather great lately"? or "How did you your weekend go"?
  19. Desperate times call for desperate measures. a few well placed mirrors and you won't miss a thing.
  20. i may be a conspiracy theorist on this take, but I feel overwhelmingly certain that Media is strongly influenced by what is said through social media. in the coaching poll there was a statement about green that was asked by Ian Mac. we were complaining about getting young players into games, the media asked those questions within a few days. quinn hughes playing time, etc.......................................... like minded thinking? or is my tinfoil hat too tight?
