  1. ...years of losing take a toll on player of this caliber eventually. Not surprised.
  2. Hard to blame Krug here. He’s getting lowballed the same way STL did to Pietrangelo. He easily gets $7.5M on the open market & likely $8M(+).
  3. Easily one of the top producing dmen in the league for a number of years now. Crazy how often at least in recent history it seems Boston isn’t able/willing to pay their prime/young players to contract extensions and trade them or their rights away (Kessel/Seguin/Hamilton). ...don’t see the sense in this for the Bruins with their aging core. Maybe they’re still able to get a deal done?
  4. Mail in voting in a nutshell (even though it should be common knowledge by now):
  5. Thanks to Theo for the negotiations. They took some time but was able to get ironed out. Tampa is glad to bring in Artturi. He has signed a 4 year extension which will be made official shortly. Another move in which dropping back in the draft in order to fortify the big league roster. We expect boom/bust potential for Lehkonen this upcoming season in Montreal and are banking on it not being the latter !
  6. Barry literally told Rick that there’s a suitor for Eriksson if Canucks retain half his salary which management is unwilling to do. So no, there is a team out there that clearly would take him if his agent is saying that.
  7. what are the odds there was almost 0 MSM coverage of this and that Biden’s son was hooking up with foreign prostitutes? ...just imagine the headlines if TrumpJr was caught receiving millions of dollars of money direct from anyone associated with Russia. This is why the MSM has subconsciously shifted to being on social media where people are way better off informing themselves of news with faaaaaaar less bias than the MSM TV identities. This is also why the DNC is a joke / people are well aware of how things mysteriously work hand-in-hand favouring them almost all the time. Edit: case in point, crickets in here from whoever supports Biden in this thread. The double standard & 1-way road is real. This is why Trump even won in the first place and this sort of selective agenda has only gotten worse over the past 4 years so I’d be surprised if he doesn’t win again.
  8. Teams have been doing so for years now, it’s common knowledge at this point for anyone that remotely follows hockey.
  9. Selective hearing seems to be a favourite fallback for certain Canucks fans lol If you only want to listen to certain things then do it without dismissing the other stuff...coming from the most reliable Canuck insider that is too who’s spoken with the players agents. If you think he’s fabricating then why in the hell would agents allow exclusively him to contact them
  10. At the expense of the Canucks window to win now before major extension will kick in, sure. And not like Sutter is the only bad apple contract. He’s the cherry on top with a lot of other overpaid, compounded deals which have the team struggling to decide what they can/can’t do leading to this current state.
  11. I don’t understand why people think Rick is not a trustworthy insider anymore when he reports on bad news for the team. He literally has contacts and gets in touch with them that no others in the business do. It’s coming from Eriksson’s agent having spoken with him. Don’t get this at all. Good news = he’s great. Bad news = he’s a troll. Pick one b/c imo, he’s doing the same as he’s always done and he’s respected among all his peers for it.
  12. Rick Dhaliwal on TSN1040: “Here’s an update on Loui Eriksson - no trade. What a shock. JP Barry is not a miracle worker, he’s not Houdini. Jim Benning has been trying to move him for 2+ years. The Canucks won’t pick up any part of the cap hit or add a sweetener.” ...this is why we may lose Tanev or/and Marky both to Free Agency. This is supposed to be competent GMing? Look I’m proud of where JB got this team to but if the league has transitioned to winning with young players on ELC’s, then having kept Eriksson this long and still not finding a suitor only means our window to win is dented and closed that much more. Playoff experience was great and all for the young guns to rally around and improve on. But how can the team get better if you don’t have available funds to be able to strengthen around them when in fact you’ll be doing the opposite actually by having quality roster casualties as a consequence? Eriksson’s cap is preventing a lot this team can do and it’s ability to improve. He wasn’t even played during the playoffs until necessary to fill-in for others so let’s not talk about him being a good role player for the bottom6...he’s not paid to and call a spade a spade, is a buyout worthy player holding this team back. So illogical that this is the stance management is taking
  13. It’s actually pretty common knowledge and practice that certain teams-players have arrangements made for when FA opens up nowadays. If memory serves correct, pretty certain that was the case with the Canucks-Myers too. Had a contract agreed to beforehand and was signed once FA begun.
  14. Let the blueline “overhaul” begin. This news + Tanev supposedly having a contract in place with the Pens to partner up with his brother. Wonder if the Canucks sign a dman to replace him or go the trade route. JB’s been on record in the past trying to do both without much showing.
  15. Yep. Wikileaks exposed the DNC’s internal corrupt process last election when they overrode Hillary despite her not being the most popular candidate. Same thing appears to have happened again. Don’t understand why poor Bernie just accepts it and doesn’t do anything/voice out against it. And yea I’d be very surprised if Biden goes through with the debates. Expecting him to find an excuse out of them as it won’t be pretty for him at all...
  16. Just popping in with another “video software edited” clips of Biden “stuttering” my gosh his brain must be mush by now. Slurs words left right and centre, can’t hang in any form of dialogue without some sort of secondary help directing him what to do. Still can’t believe this is the candidate democrats chose to go with. Unreal
  17. Ekblad is 24. Jones was 21 years of age when he was traded. Nashville’s blueline was insane like always and their own department knew it was obvious the 3 years he played there. How had he not proven anything? He was thriving on the leagues best backend which was one of the deepest and why he was held back from bigger opportunities. It was just a matter a time for him to inevitably get the chances. Anyone that watches hockey even remotely knew the talent he had and what he’d become once given the adequate ice time.
  18. Hard to blame them tbf. Tricky scenario b/c the ball looked like it wasn’t going to make it past 10 yards. As the receiving side, you never want to touch the ball early no matter how secure it looks. Last thing you do is try to, unable to hold on, and it bounces back to the kicking team without knowing if the ball would’ve even made it past the min requirement. So yea I get why the Atlanta players just watched it...never looked like it was making it. Tip of the hat to Zuerlein. Probably the best onside kick I’ve ever seen in a big league game. The English on that was surreal !
  19. Couple more thoughts: > very pleased with the Pats oline especially with Scarnecchia back in retirement again. Last time he walked away from the game, Pats oline looked completely discombobulated and Brady was getting all sorts of pressure before he came back a year or so later and went on more runs at the end of the TB12 era. So nice to see Bill and the team/staff have learned/adjusted this time around giving Cam all sorts of time+protection. > similarly, very pleased with the job Jakob Johnson has done filling in for the now retired James Devlin. He’s a guy outside of NE not many knew the value of but McDaniel’s FB incorporated schemes were made doable because of James’ ability and reliability. Jakob transitioned to FB at times when Devlin was hurt but now taking the full time role, he’s giving just as much trust to keep things rolling. Tons of grit & determination, loving it ! > hindsight haha > I tend to agree with this as well...not sure how sustainable 4WRs are with an always banged up Jules and scarce quality at the position.
  20. What a game by my Pats. First off wanna say how I’ve always thought Wilson is and has been the MVQ for many seasons now. This performance is just another reason adding to it; I don’t think there’s any better player to apply the term “heart and soul” to than him. Second, man am I ever surprised by Cam’s play. I’ve always detested his throwing mechanics+habit of throwing off the back foot but it’s been barely noticeable these first 2 weeks. Back leg throws no where near as much as he used to in the past (just not sustainable or reliable no matter how powerful one is) and Al Michael’s even said during the commentating that he’s squaring up his shoulders leading to near perfect throws. But yea, what an awesome game! This is what football’s all about, add another Seahawks-Pats classic to the list!!
  21. Falcons blew a 20pt lead..
  22. Another video software edited clip, don’t mind me...
