  2. If you told me before the playoffs that we would face Vegas at some point, I’d have raised both my arms in the air and walked out the room...however, the fight and resilience our squad has shown/IS showing has me thinking otherwise. No way would I have thought anything could change my stance on this matchup but here we are. Not a knock on the Nucks - more so I feel Vegas is that much better than the rest in the west. ...the boys are buzzing...
  3. @Aaron Shea is the new Flyers GM Welcome to CDC, I hope you like it here !
  4. We now have the best evidence yet that everyone develops long-term coronavirus immunity after infection — and it's not just about antibodies https://www.businessinsider.com/long-term-coronavirus-immunity-t-cells-2020-8 A rather remarkable paper considering many authors involved are closely linked to the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, which plays a major part in deciding who receives the Nobel Prize in Medicine each year. This also shows why antibody testing isn’t the be-all, end-all by any measure...as you could very well be immune and not show a positive antibody test.
  5. no Florida (places claim on Kempe)
  6. One of the most ludicrous saves I have ever seen by Marky
  7. Philly should’ve challenged that...if you look closely, Gallagher’s follow throw hit Hart’s blocker arm, the side where the puck went after Gally’s stick/follow through hit him. Bet a case could be made it impeded him from saving it, would be an all time challenge !
  8. How does this get reviewed and changed to a major? not to sound like a whiner but a Blues player has done that to a Canucks player every game this series which goes uncalled every time....
  9. Tell me about it ! like people are just sleeping on it so bad imo hahah it’s outrageous
  10. The goal, ...let’s be honest: if a higher profile player (a McDavid/Crosby/Matthews etc) scores that same exact goal, it’s on the highlight reel for the whole week and talked about + replayed as goal of the year contender for months on end. James Duthie - arguably the biggest mainstream eastern(Toronto) bias leaning media member - even mentioned it. If he says it, that speaks volumes... Duthie on TSN on Bo's goal: "Let's admit it, if that was McDavid or Matthews who scored that goal, the entire network would be caving in so let's give this goal it's due". "Not only is this the goal of the pandemic, but probably also the goal of the entire year as well"!
  11. No need to, we’ll trade them like Boeser who’s been in the trade rumour mill for 2 seasons now. JB’s regimes have a track record of doing this from days in Boston (Seguin etc). ...where there’s smoke there’s fire. I hope to god Boeser isn’t dealt but it seems to be a possibility due to cap strapping ourselves with such contracts over the years...
  12. Thank you to Mike and everyone for welcoming me into the league, especially @Rush17 who initially reached out to me to make this possible. I’d like to begin by saying I’m very saddened to hear the loss of a former league GM “Wilb”. After some searching on the forum, discovered through posts that doctors ultimately had given him a timeline so I assume he was battling some kind of health condition. This touches close to home for me as someone who got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and has now been cleared of it for just over 2 years now after having gone through treatment. It puts things into perspective that sudden stuff can happen at a moments notice and that there’s a lot more to life so take time to cherish moments of those around you; & from what I’ve read up on, I’m really glad to see that many of you were in fact close with Wilb and were able to create+share such memories. Viewing GML, there’s no doubt in my mind that this is thee premier fantasy league on the site and it’s not due to hockey reasons despite its hockey aspects being bar none on cdc as far as fantasy goes. It shows the amazing culture that resides here which has been built over the years and as an outsider looking in, I can tell how close-knit of a group it is and really do feel honoured to now be part of this family. I’ll do the best I can to be a positive contributor moving ahead and look forward to building lasting relationships with everyone here ! ...now to a lesser extent, as the new GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the plan is to become a stronger contender than where they currently stand. Here’s a little outline for you all to get an idea of the direction we’d like to head: > for starters I consider no one player as untouchable just as a general rule of thumb in hockey. Inheriting McJesus is as close as it gets to that but again still not fully quote-on-quote, “untouchable”. Please don’t offer for him unless you can genuinely get the ball rolling with something that’ll blow my socks off so please take that into account before you go ahead and shoot; I’d hate to have to judge some of you with bad offers, 1st impressions are 1st impressions after all > having taken over a relatively strong roster, would like to make some change of scenery type trades (aka hockey deals) just to be able to inject some of my own DNA to the team and stamp on it. Core players I’d like to build around are McDavid, Jones, Josi. A few notable names I’d be open to field offers on for reasons mentioned above could include the likes of Malkin, Buchnevich, Williams, Green, Slavin, Price, TBL 1st rounder (#15 overall), & just about all players with RFA status. Would like to target a top line winger or two. Feel free to message me on site or discord
