You gotta pick your spots though. At that point in the game you gotta be disciplined. Way better to beat them on the scoreboard.
And if you’re gonna get a penalty make it worth it. Feed him a few fists not just one quick shot.
100%. I’m just saying it’s funny how no matter what people won’t be satisfied, especially when it’s Jake involved. I do agree that you gotta pick your spots, but people gotta know that sometimes you’re gonna take penalties when you pushback.

Was it dumb? Yes.
But he was also punched first.
Wasn't everyone complaining that the team has no heart or pushback?
These boards are funny. People get mad for having no pushback, and the same people also get mad when we pushback. They kinda go hand in hand. When you play that style of hockey, penalties will happen. People will never be happy lol.

Crazy how all year the critique was he wasn't playing enough (fair), and now in the most important moments they are turning to Podkolzin in every situation.
Very impressive. It's hard not to be over the moon about this kid. Exactly the type of player we need.
Seems like the type of kid to will his team to victory, especially in big games. Can’t wait to see him in the lineup.

man, 8-2 and we only climbed 4 points. what do we have to do. TSN Panelists are probably paying TO to throw games.
It’s crazy cause I hate the laffs, but they’re kinda screwing us by losing some of these games. Never want them to win but we coulda used a win from them tonight.

Don't insult the doormen by comparing them to the garbage we witnessed tonight.
Oddly enough I’ve come across some pretty awful Walmart doormen.

It's an interesting discussion, though. Which is the better team over an 82 game season? .........
Team A: 42 reg wins and 40 reg losses, for 84 points
Team B: 30 reg wins, 27 reg losses and 25 OT losses, for 85 points
The point system is broken. Should be 3 for a win, 2 for a tie, 1 for otl. Pretty dumb that two losses can potentially equal a win lol.

Missed the end of the game, someone wanna summarize? Trying to watch highlights but typical sportsnet won’t stop talking about the laffs game.

Toffoli just playing the role of cherry picker. Let’s see how it works out today.
Reminds me of playing road hockey as a kid and there was always that one guy that would just wait for the breakaway pass.

I wish we had someone who would just go out there and lay the boom on someone, those game altering hits. A Tom Wilson type.

I know roussel didnt actually trip him but those reputation calls he gets against him are part of the reason he needs to go.
Reputation or not, that’s a call that cannot be made by an NHL ref. The league needs to have performance reviews for referees. It’s brutal sometimes.

We have the worst record in the league since like 2015 I'm pretty sure.
Habs were calling for their coach's head after being fairly successful to start the season, while some Canucks fans still coddle Benning after 5 bottom dwelling years. I really don't think we "complain" too much about winning. In fact, I would argue that we're complacent with losing, seeing how CDC, HFCanucks, and Canucks Reddit have all grown substantially over these miserable years.
I was just joking around seeing as there didn’t seem to be much joy surrounding this win. I personally just try to stay positive regarding the nucks, got enough things to stress about in life, don’t feel the need to stack the Canucks recent struggles on top of that. I get that seeing the boys not play their best is a bit frustrating, but a win is a win in my books, regardless of how we get them. I’ll enjoy them whenever we get them. To each their own I suppose.

True, and it is soo annoying that we get to watch our young goalie set up and turn into a star while our top scorer is sidelined.
Ugh I hate when we have a goalie who has the ability to steal games, why would we want that.

I think what is important is that we keep GDT/PGT's as bitter as possible despite winning a bunch.
Consistency is the key.
I doubt there’s too many other fanbases that complain about winning as much as we do

We’re doing that every game now.
Have a different excuse for why he couldn’t play every time.
Shrewd tactic from jimbo and co.
