I’m generally a fan of what Benning has done in his time here but this one is a head scratcher unless there’s something going on behind the scenes we don’t know? I just don’t see how you sell the upside in Gaudette for yet another redundant, undersized piece.

They have two lines. Mathews and Tavares is one of the best one two punches in the league and their bottom six is impressive too. Hate to say this but TO might win a cup this year.
I just can’t picture anyone other than maybe Colorado beating Tampa in a 7 game series. Unfortunately the north division has been pretty weak, and Toronto hasn’t really faced too much serious competition. I’ll admit that they’re looking pretty good, but I just don’t see them competing with the likes of Tampa and Colorado.

It's pretty much exactly where I think everyone expected the contract to be so there shouldn't be much of the whole "take that JB HATEORZ" when there's no precedent for goalies getting much more or much less.
I agree that there’s a bit of risk involved, especially considering he’s a goalie. But I feel like this is a tiny gamble that could have a potentially huge payout. Time will tell I suppose. All Demmer has done for the last year is improve so I’m hopeful.

I believe he’s in custody but can’t confirm 100%.

Same here. It’s been pretty devastating for the community. My parents were there when it all happened, heartbroken for the victims but thankful my family is safe.

I’ve seen footage of the same incident but a closer view. It’s the suspect attempting to cut his own wrist in a pretty violent manner. Fairly graphic stuff.

It’s tough for a goalie when a guy is flying down the wing and comes across the net, especially when there’s multiple bodies in front. That’s a goal a lot of the time regardless of the league.

That’s a goal a lot of times in the nhl. It’s tough for a goalie to come across the net when a guys crashing the net like that. See that kinda goal pretty frequently.
