Don't know if I want this to be the year we finally get 1st overall. Basically no junior hockey being played so it's going to exceptionally hard to properly judge prospects. Lots of examples of players being ranked high at the start of their draft year and then falling quickly as the season progresses
Well game might still be salvageable but need some serious push back and to be smart aggressive. Not sure what that is but I feel like that's what we need
I just want him to be more assertive on the puck. He always seems hesitant to go in the corner for a puck battle. It's like he's too concerned with being a net front defenceman and is scared to leave that spot to go get the puck
I know he's been getting a lot of praise but I'm still not impressed by Chatfield. He gets beaten to almost every loose puck along the boards and loses almost every board battle in his own zone
Absolutely and countless more. As Hairy Kneel already said, Thank you Bell and Thank you Bieksa and The Vancouver Canucks for starting and supporting this amazing cause
Well when you have one of Zaitsev, Gudbranson or Reilly out on your right side for the entire 60 minutes + of the game, its probably not going to go well
Umm, did I miss something? When did Pettersson go 11 games without a goal?
Edit: I found it. Way back in his rookie year
Edit 2: Bure had a stetch of 3 goals in 23 games in his rookie year. And in 94-95 went 10 games without a goal.
Relax, he's only 22 and is in just his third year in the league. The first 2 years he was here there were no real roster changes and now it is his first time having to deal with the business side of the game. It takes a little getting used too, he is already adapting and will be just fine.
It's when you get MacKinnon, arguably the best player in the world, signed at 6.3 million per year and then have him say he will absolutely take less money than market value on his next contract to make sure his team can spend to ensure his team can stay competitive and keep their elite core intact
Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, Duncan Keith, Shea Weber, Nikita Kucherov, Connor Hellebuyck, Dustin Byfuglien, Roman Josi and Jonathan Quick are all waving right back
