  1. You’re missing other contracts coming off the books and the Cap moving upwards
  2. 11OA for Hanifin is way too much. How about Garland or Beau with a 2024 first? I hope by next year that pick be in the 20’s
  3. Doubt it. What is intriguing is that Hannifin is available for trade. His Cap hit is just 5M next season. https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2665194 Add Calgary Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin to the growing list of players that could get dealt this summer. All signs point to the blue-liner not wanting to sign an extension with the club, meaning a trade is likely, according to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. Hanifin is in the final season of his contract with a $4.95-million cap hit and can become an unrestricted free agent in 2024. The fifth overall pick in 2015, Hanifin is 6-3, skates well, and is only 26 years old, which could make him an appealing addition for several teams. He tallied 38 points this past season and a career-high 48 the campaign prior. His underlying numbers over the last three seasons have been stellar, buoyed by his excellent 2021-22 campaign. Evolving-Hockey The Flames have several other players who can become UFAs in 2024, including Elias Lindholm, Tyler Toffoli, Mikael Backlund, Chris Tanev, and Nikita Zadorov. New Calgary general manager Craig Conroy said during his introductory press conference that he doesn't want to lose pending UFAs for nothing, as the club did with Johnny Gaudreau a year ago. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Connor Hellebuyck, Alex DeBrincat, and Erik Karlsson are among other players around the league that are expected to be available for trade this offseason.
  4. Better than Myers and OEL in the lineup. Rather bring back pylon Murzyn over these 2 clowns
  5. As discussed by others, Myers ought to be an easy trade to a Cap floor team once his September bonus is paid out.
  6. Nope. Get rid of him too. Even if we can’t land an “experienced” player. That AHL player will be much better than this chaotic giraffe
  7. Dead Cap of little significance and better than having a dead player constantly coughing the puck up, losing puck battles and regularly being positionally out of place
  8. I strongly believe that both OEL and Myers were responsible for far too many loses last season. I’m so happy one of these bafoons is gone. Myers be gone after his bonus and this will be a successful off season. AHL plugs are better than these clowns
  9. Myers and OEL were never top 4 defenders in any sense at this stage. Our defence is likely improved with just even AHL players playing in OEL and Myers spot. Good riddance. One more to go….
  10. 2M will be 2% or the Cap. I think we will be fine. The 2 years of just under 5M are the only years of real impact
  11. There are only 2 years of impactful Cap hits, the other years are negligible
  12. No clue. Good and bad. Let’s see what they do with this Cap space
  13. Let’s hope not. I have faith we can make the playoffs without any further moves based on what I just said plus this new coaching style
  14. Garland is worth his Cap hit. Rather them keep him and let’s just roll with the same lineup; added Hronek, uninjured OEL, uninjured Dem and uninjured Mik
  15. Yes we need to give them a shot and use their cheap Cap hits. OEL will also play better not being injured so the top 4 of QH, Hronek, OEL and ??? Myers is likely gone after his bonus payout in September
  16. If we can only employ one player that will make a world of difference then so be it. We have too many soft players. This is not the case with other teams. One Lucic on his own can balance the scales. We can’t make too many moves
  17. Show us the options. There are only a handful of guys that absolutely dominate in the fighting world
  18. Agree to disagree Gurn. A lot of us are tired of our team being so soft and others taking liberties on them basically at will. Enough is enough
  19. A limited 4th line role at 1M or less is a benefit. Not a problem. Been too long our guys been getting pushed around without a legit enforcer on the team. He can also benefit the team with net front presence on the PP.
  20. Not in my opinion. Unless it’s in the top 10, you’re getting a low chance at an NHL regular, never mind a top 4 RHD. He is 25 and nowhere near hitting his prime as a defender. He fit the most important positional need for the team for now and the future. This was a great trade.
  21. His only good moves were bringing in JT, extending Dem and drafting QH and Petey. Basically 10% good work. 90% garbage moves.
