6 months is not long term, i've been putting a little away each month for 25 years. (RRSP's)

I am,doesn't mean I can't voice concerns not sure what's funny. Loss is deductable I believe. It's only a small part of my portfolio.

Is there any good news in the markets? Surprised we are not in a recession certainly seems like we are headed that way. Baytex energy was $45 just a few years ago now $2.50 for example. (they have lots of debt but wow what a shalacking) Oil is lowest for like ever yet we are paying through the nose at the pumps. Only thing keeping our country going seems is high gas prices and taxes.

Anyway the rise has been incredible wish I was in earlier (who doesn't) as always miss the boat but at least I got in end of 16. just wish I had more to invest and wish i didn't buy some energy stocks lol but hey they may go up again. A low or bottom will happen on some of these be good time to buy some more.

VW stock is tanking so might want to get some as it will prob bottom out and then rise as they get through this emission problem.

Buy a generator. I have one in case the power goes out to keep my aquarium and fridge going plus lights and heater ect ect . they are not that expensive to have and are quite useful. easy solution instead of sitting around in the dark.

Most people who make over $100K a year are self employed and own their own business. Like me. I went to college for 3 months. 8 years in uni? You should be a Doctor by now. I had friends who would rather get drunk party go the beach instead of work.. most of them are broke now and in their 40's bouncing from job to job. The friends I know who are doing the best own their own businesses. from landscaping to boat building from printing signs to owning restaurants......differenece is they want to work hard the others don't and just want to party woo hoo...
