  1. Not trying to be a film snob in anyway, but ever since I saw the first preview for this at Skyfall, I was less than impressed. From the trailers alone it looks like it is trying so hard to be a mob movie, if you know what I mean. Definitely doesn't look like a parody, but it looks like it is trying to do everything right to nail down the genre. Couldn't be more turned off by it.
  2. Finally finished Hitman Absolution on the hardest difficulty. Only took me 3 or 4 weeks. About halfway through playing, I had given it a 7/10; however, that score has been lowered to a 5.5/10. Definitely the weakest game in the entire series. It looked beautiful, but the overall tone and pacing of the game was much different than the previous games in the series. Did not like it very much.
  3. Currently playing GTA4. Definitely not as enjoyable as I remembered. I really want to play through San Andreas again, still think that was the best in the series. Though, anything with David Cross (that isn't Alvin & the Chipmunks) is worth my time.
  4. Not sure about other people, but I absolutely loved MG4, and I didn't like any of the other games in the franchise. I haven't played it since it first came out, so I may feel different now, but I may not even have the patience to finish it now. The game itself feels more like a work of art than a game. There were certainly times I was frustrated, mainly the cutscenes (I remember timing one that was nearly an hour long); but even then I appreciated the amount of time, effort, and detail that they put into it.I wouldn't go back to it now, but it was certainly worth playing through it once.
  5. Have been playing through Hitman for the last 2 weeks. Frustrating, frustrating, frustrating, but fun. I'm on the highest difficulty, which is why it is taking so long to get through. But then the game lasts that much longer. Can't really rate it at this point, but so far I'd give it a 7/10. As a lot of reviews have stated, the tone is so much different than the previous games in the series. While you can get through the levels by stealth alone, some levels are near impossible at times to do so without at least being seen (especially if you try going through without disguising yourself, which is always my goal). While I understand because I'm at the hardest difficulty, the game is far less forgiving, I have spent days on at least two of the levels in particular. While other levels I can cruise through on either the second or third try without being seen. The sad part of this is that those are sometimes the levels I would like to be more difficult (ie: Court Level).
  6. I'm sure this has already been mentioned regarding not being able to play used games (didn't bother reading past the first page). So what happens when (not if) you have to replace your new XBOX 720 or PS4 as it will inevitably break down? If they cannot fix it? You buy a new console to replace it and you are SOL because the games you currently have won't play on a new system? If this is in fact true, the new consoles will be like contestents on Steve Harvey's Family Feud. Doesn't matter who wins, both are losers for being out in public.
  7. You won't regret it. There's something about puzzle games that I find are just impossible to put down, and Catherine is such a great departure from the norm. There were two levels I found an absolute nightmare to get past, but felt so satisfied when completed. I should also note, my wife has never, ever played any 360 or PS3 game ever. But when she saw Catherine, she just loved the puzzles and Vincent's panicked reactions.
  8. Just finished playing Catherine for the first time. What a terrific twist on a puzzle game. Just an absolute blast. At first look, my wife was wondering what twisted game I was playing, but then she couldn't help but take turns playing it with me. Totally surprised by the ending I received as well. There are a total of 8 different endings, and I was really expecting something different than what I received. I highly recommend that everyone downloads this from the PSN or XBox live.
  9. I always play the crap out of NHL12. Currently halfway through my second season on BeAPro. However, I finished The Walking Dead two days ago, going to go back to it tonight and play episode 1 a second time.
  10. I agree with this. I'm maxed out in archery and in the high 80s with sneak. Although I can own enemies with it, it's not entirely fun. A while ago I switched to light shield and a mace. Pretty fun so far.
  11. Thanks for lowering my warning. It has been a few years. Much appreciated!
