Imagine being shut out three times in a 7 game series and still win. Let's do it!
2007 Canucks did it against Dallas

Guys keep the faith, there’s so much hockey left to be played in this game and this series. Let’s wait a little longer before we write them off completely. I still have faith in this team! Keep competing and fighting!

Thank you! Vegas is good and this is going to be a battle. Not surprising they’re responding, Canucks worked them last game. Keep supporting the team!

It’s really starting to look like the Canucks are going to be a legit championship contender in the next few years. They’ve hung with some very good teams in these playoffs and looked excellent in several games.
Obviously EP, Hughes and Horvat are essential. Are we able to keep both Toffoli and Boeser? What about guys like Pearson, Motte and Virtanen?
On the back end, do they wait for OJ to keep developing? How long will Edler and Tanev stay? Who should they add?
in net, do they pay Markstrom? He seems pretty important to the team. Demko?
I don’t know much about this flat salary cap and what exactly that entails. Could someone in the know please enlighten me?

Now the whole “Canucks have never beaten Vegas in regulation” narrative can be mercifully put to bed

So very proud of how our team has bounced back, solid game from everyone so far. Learning so much about how to scratch, claw for ice, absorb or avoid checks, keep pushing the pace. Got a little scary in the 2nd but they refocused for the 3rd and have been so much fun to watch. Fun time to be a Canucks fan!
Exactly! The mark of a great team isn’t whether or not they face adversity, but when things get challenging, it’s the RESPONSE that means everything

Are people really that upset that our players were getting chirped...its the playoffs, its competitive and it happens all the time! It's part of the game...
Yep, you don’t think Gretzky was chirped at? Lemieux? Anyone who can do damage, the opposition will do anything to get inside that player’s head to minimize their impact. Don’t back down, keep quiet and outwork them. The best way to shut someone up is by winning the game! Let your play do the talking

Doesn't matter to me who wears the ZEBRA STRIPES...go out, play hard and out score your opponent. Stand up for each other, don't whine to the refs and out work the opposition!
I can’t like this enough times!!

3-2 Canucks OT, Hughes

Remember how we were hammered 6-0 against the Blues in game 1 in 2003 on home ice? Remember how we embarrassed Chicago 5-1 at the United Center in game 1 in 2010?

The thing I think that trapped Vancouver in 2011 against the Bruins, is they got off their game and got into gamesmanship and tried to match the Bruins’ physicality, turned out to be a big mistake.
The Canucks have to stick to their game, do what they do well. Guys like Reaves want nothing more than to goad our guys, especially Roussel, into all that extracurricular stuff. If it turns into an overly physical series, we are dead in the water. We don’t have the personnel to match them. The worst thing they can do is turn him into a Dustin Byfuglien type presence. He’s a 4th liner, he’ll get his hits, but don’t engage with him. Don’t give him more credit than he deserves.Brian Burke was talking about that today. The Canucks need to do what made them successful against the Blues. He said Roussel’s heart and effort in game 1 should be commended, but he shouldn’t be engaging Reaves.

The USA Miracle on Ice team got destroyed by the USSR 10-3 in a pre-tournament game. Just sayin

They’re still heroes to me, that playoff victory over St. Louis was a huge step for this group. If this team they’re playing just happens to be superior, so be it. Granted the Canucks are off their game tonight and Vegas is laser-focused. The guys can do better no doubt. I’ll be honest, I’m disheartened by how this game has gone so far, getting so heavily outplayed. But it’s one game. Sure Vegas might just be too superior to beat in a best of 7, but I want to see the guys give it their all and see what they can do! GCG!!

This period has been a little better. Starting to make Lehner work a little bit

Kinda getting manhandled. Only 1-0 though

A team with nothing to lose can be very dangerous

I second that Deb... Non Canuck fan/trolls please go pump up Vegas on their boards cause there gonna need it. We get it we’re the underdogs, everyone is sooooo superior than us blah blah blah, you hate the Nucks. Leave us True Nuck fans to enjoy our team and cheer them on. Let’s Gooooooo!!!!
Who thought the NY Giants would beat the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl 42? Who thought the Americans with mostly college players would beat the mighty USSR in 1980? Predictions and betting favorites mean nothing, the games are won and lost on the ice/field/court. I believe in my heart, the Canucks CAN win this series. Will it be a really big challenge?? Of course! It’s supposed to be hard. You don’t win on paper, you win by performing! I say who cares if we get no respect, Green should use it to motivate the boys, the old “us against the world” narrative. Go Canucks!!

Word on Toffoli and Myers?

I remember in 2007, a Canucks team virtually carried by Roberto Luongo, had to play an extremely good Anaheim Ducks team in the 2nd round. We were definitely overmatched, but 3 of the games went to OT and it was a fairly close series.
That Ducks team had 3 HOFers on it and a really deep, physical roster. This Canucks team is far better than that 2007 Canucks team and Vegas doesn’t have any Chris Prongers or Scott Niedermayers on the roster. I truly believe we can beat these guys. Oh it’ll be one heck of a challenge, but it can be done!

Is Vegas being slightly overrated? I get that they’re a good hockey team but it seems like they’re being treated like the 2001 Avs or 2002 Wings

What do the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Red Sox have in common? They’re the only two North American pro sports franchises to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a playoff series 3 times
