I don't get where people get this idea from?
Yeah I actually looked at his numbers and they’re not bad. I hear he & Tocchet didn’t see eye-to-eye, that didn’t help I’m sure.

I know OEL hasn’t been great the past few years. JB is banking on a return to form, it’s a risk. But how can you possibly win the Stanley Cup without taking any risks? Would you rather never swing the bat & draw the safe walk every time, or would you rather swing for the fences? You might strike out, but you might hit a 400 ft grand slam

Thinking that people would pay to read articles in the athletic was probably an unmitigated disaster.
Lol zing!! I like it

The writers for the Athletic called the trade for the Canucks an “unmitigated disaster.” Gave the trade a D- grade. Lol I guess it’s true what they say about opinions, they’re like $&&$, everyone’s got one!

The constant negativity of posters here are too much. Who are you cheering for the Vancouver Canucks or the Abbotsford Canucks?
As mentioned before:
Our team has gotten better with a former Captain and top 2/top 4 defenceman who is only paid 1M more Cap space than Meyers/Schmidt/Edler’s old contract. All indications are he will step it up as a true #1 again as he WANTS to be HERE.
We get a solid top 6 forward.
We dump 3 very bad contracts.
All this and we didn’t give up any good players off our team.
I really don’t get some of the “fans” here. Same folks who scoffed at giving up a 1st for Miller.
JB did the impossible yesterday and gave the team some genuine help in being playoff team. This team can do serious damage now.
Love the positivity and I agree! Man, I forgot how devastating of a puncher peak Mike Tyson was, yikes!!

I like the trade, but you can’t please everyone.

ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski gave Arizona an A for the trade and Vancouver a D+. It has to be true right? Haha

Sometimes you gotta take a big risk for a potential big reward. I respect the heck out of JB for having the you-know-what’s to try to make the team better! No risk, no reward!
GCG! Welcome to Vancouver Oliver & Conor!

Someone should say “hey Seattle, remember when you passed on the 1 yard line?” Everyone instantly leaves

Not sure who exactly will score goals for them

Throw Mark Lanegan in to raise the bad ass factor by 100.
Screaming Trees right? Those guys are underrated

That 1995-96 Sonics team was awesome. They fell behind the superhuman Bulls in the finals 3-0, had they not I think they could’ve been the only team to take Jordan & the Bulls to a game 7 in the NBA Finals

Let’s get Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains & Kim Thayil from Soundgarden to make a pick

I think we're going to be shocked at how many draft picks Seattle picked up.
Has to be, because this roster seems so vanilla

Is that Tanev or Scott Stapp?
Tanev’s like “I was in my own prison” right before my picture was taken

Chris Fowler needs Kirk Herbstreit, then they can start talking about how amazing Ohio State Football is

Is this like Moneyball or something? I must be missing something here!
The funny thing about that story/movie, the Oakland A’s had maybe the youngest/best top 3 starting pitchers in the game in Mulder, Hudson & Zito, with Zito winning the Cy Young in 2002. They also had the AL MVP in Miguel Tejada. None of those guys were barely even mentioned in the movie

Nope I’m with you.
The colour scheme is nice but the logo is just meh.
The name definitely isn’t growing on me. It will never not sound like an ECHL team.
1000% agree

It’s annoying with a meddlesome owner for sure, unfortunately it’s 100% their right as the owner of the club to do whatever they please. Aquaman could even make himself starting goaltender if he wanted haha
