I’m honestly reaching apathy, I just don’t care. I mean they’re always my favorite team, but the players don’t care, ownership doesn’t care, why should I?

I can tell you from being here live at the game, we haven’t changed intensity AT ALL in this game. Believe me, there is ZERO urgency, it’s 100% completely unacceptable that ownership and management is allowing this to happen night after night

I live in Pittsburgh, my wife & I are at the game. I can see now why we’re not doing well this year. Just too apathetic, going through the motions. Nobody is hitting, hardly anyone is skating hard, aside from maybe Garland & Hoglander. Boeser has regressed so far since his rookie year, EP is totally invisible. OEL is actually noticeable in a good way. We also give the puck away WAY too much, needlessly. Thank heavens for Demko, he’s our best player!

I’m going to the game in Pittsburgh with my wife on Wednesday. I’ll be cheering for the Canucks, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t mind it if the Penguins just thrashed us, like 6-1 or 5-0. Anything to get a coaching change or management change. That’s what it’s come to

Every single player green has had contact with re-gresses. He despises creativity, hates initiative & drive and beats the motivation out of every single player he's ever come into contact with until they are shells of their former selves and taught his failing ways.
Name me one single players that has evolved in droves under green - just one?
I have no idea why the Sportsnet 650 guys keep saying he’s a great coach, he’ll definitely catch on somewhere else after he leaves Vancouver, he’s destined for success etc. Those guys are constantly saying it

I’ll get a tiny bit of excitement after a win, like a small rush of positivity. Then the next game happens, and it’s right back to square one, happens pretty much every time.
I would seriously consider shopping Boeser, and EP needs to be healthy scratched for a game or two. Their job is to score goals and points to contribute to wins, they’re flat out not doing their job. I don’t care if they’re “playing better” or “finding their game” or “gaining confidence.” PRODUCE TANGIBLE RESULTS!if I showed up to work every day and didn’t do my job? I’d be fired very quickly. I also earn about .0005 % of what these guys earn too

Bo sounds like Green. Yikes.
Yeah if we’d just won 4 straight and this happened, oh well, s—- happens sometimes. But FFS, stop excusing losses and lack of results! We have 4 regulation wins this year!

Bad teams find ways to lose. Face it people they are a bad hockey team. If a 6-12-2 record doesn’t tell you that then I don’t know what does. They played well but we are beyond that point in the season now of clinging to the fact they played well.
The old Bill Parcells quote, “you are what your record says you are”

The season will be flushed away before the franchise makes any changes, that’s the sad thing. Everyone can see it, but they refuse to do anything about it

If we lose it’ll be the “ran into a hot goalie” or “couldn’t get the bounces” excuse. The standings don’t care how or why you lost. You’re paid to win games, you have to get results in a results-based business. The fans all see that

This is beyond stupid to keep this coaching staff in place.
I just don't give a sh*t any more.
That’s how I feel. I don’t care until they change something

I think the biggest change needs to be GM.
Right now they should be watching the waiver wire for defensive depth and help on bottom six. I still think the high end talent is here.
When you watch Motte compared to Bailey you quickly understand how bad our bottom six is. The big thing to realize is that there problems are depth players.
Lockwood is getting things going. So is Woo.
I do think JB is more of the issue than Green. No idea, after having the most successful playoff the franchise had had in a decade, why JB thought it was a good idea to dump ALL those important pieces. Markstrom, Tanev, Toffoli & Stecher all had a significant impact on the team’s playoff run. Demko has been a more than capable replacement for Marky, but the other 3? Holy cow did JB drop the ball on those guys. I’ve read a lot of autobiographies by former players & coaches in hockey, and all of them have been on at least a few successful teams. They all say the same thing, “character & leadership are the engine to drive success.” They all talk about how close-knit the successful teams are, a brotherhood, a family. Even minimally talented teams can go really really far if they’re close, if they’re brothers. Does that sound like the current version of the Vancouver Canucks to you?
They’re all wearing the same blue & green jerseys, but believe me, THIS IS NOT A TEAM

Dale Hunter (highly unlikely) or Ralph Krueger, please.
Omg could you imagine Dale Hunter coming here? He’d have no use for 60% of the roster haha

The Canucks were awful from 1997-1999, but at least you had the last 50 goal season of Pavel Bure & the emerging superstar in Markus Naslund. Plus Bertuzzi and Jovanovski came aboard and Crawford was brought in by Burke to try to get the train back on the tracks, which eventually it did.
Modern times just feels lifeless, there’s literally nothing on the ice to hang your hat on, nothing you can look forward to watching. It’s just apathy and lifeless play, night after night after night. For the first time in 30 years, I’m actually questioning whether I want to continue cheering for this team. It feels awful to think that after all the wonderful memories, but I just feel like ownership doesn’t give two $&$&& about us fans or bringing a Stanley Cup here someday. They don’t care, they just want to fatten their wallets -

The real question is, will Travis Green complain about “puck luck” like he does virtually every single loss?
