  1. Special teams kills them every single game. That & the so-called stars completely vanishing and having zero impact are going to cost Green his job
  2. Pettersson needs to be healthy scratched next game. I don’t care if it hurts his poor confidence. Suck it up, it’s a game for big boys, it’s pro hockey. He’s a liability out there. You don’t perform you don’t play
  3. Football is 100x worse. An incomplete pass can be a 60 yard play if pass interference is called
  4. It’s starting to really feel like Green’s job is hanging by a thread, and it’s fraying by the second
  5. Demko has only been ok, which is a disaster for the Canucks
  6. If this officiating crew makes more than $5 an hour they’re massively overpaid. Holy cow they’re abysmal
  7. I watch some of those goals EP scored his rookie year, then you watch him this year, it’s absolutely staggering that it’s the same player. So hard to believe how his game has almost dropped off a cliff in such a short timespan
  8. Boeser, Horvat & EP, watch how well Hoglander & Garland skate & watch how hard they work every single time they’re on the ice!! They’re doing your job better than you & making a lot less $
  9. Man this ref is really really bad. He shouldn’t work any games for awhile
  10. “From my point of view the Jedi are evil!”
  11. Wow the ref never lost sight of it. A lot of officials would’ve blown it dead almost instantly
  12. I always thought the ‘94 PP OT winner Linden scored against Calgary was a thing of beauty. Bure throws it on net low, Vernon can’t control the rebound and Linden uses his size and bangs it in. Not complicated
  13. The Canucks PP strategy should just be to throw it at the goalie’s feet & just crash for rebounds. They’d likely have twice as many PP goals if some guys were willing to be Luc Robitaille or Ryan Smyth and get the greasy ones. That’s how you win. Keep it simple
  14. It’s getting really hard to imagine Green lasting through American Thanksgiving. The team has to be changed in some fashion, it can’t keep going this way
  15. “I liked our start, took some penalties, couldn’t get the bounces…hey that’s a good team over there.”
  16. Someone should count the number of times in a game that a Canucks player, mainly Pettersson, passes up a shooting opportunity and passes instead. Always one of the more obvious signs of a player’s lack of confidence. Ever see Ovechkin pass up a shooting opportunity? Can’t score passing all the time
  17. If we lose all 3 games on the road trip, is Green officially on the hot seat?
  18. It honestly helps not to get upset. I’ve just accepted the Canucks are an underachieving, inconsistent team. I’m much happier
  19. I know fighting has changed in hockey, but EVERY player should at least know how to throw and take a punch, just in case. Kinda like way back in the day. Hopefully you never have to but just in case it’s good to know
  20. Craig MacTavish kinda looks like a Politician, like a candidate for US President
  21. Yeah that “hook” was completely bogus. Still up 2-1 on the road
  22. I really didn’t like how Bo didn’t do a thing there. I don’t think guys should have to answer for clean hits, and it’s hard to tell on this one, but the way things have been going, this team has been playing like anything but a TEAM. For your captain, the main chosen leader, to just skate by and not even react?
  23. The old Herb Brooks line from Miracle, “you think you can win on talent alone?! You don’t have enough talent to win on talent alone!” The players might think they’re playing hard, but 85-90% isn’t even close to good enough. It needs to be 110% every shift, every puck battle, every race to the puck. The best teams in the NHL have a lot of talent, but they also WORK their tails off every single night. The Canucks are experts at talking about it, but as far as actually doing it?? They’re either completely unwilling or totally incapable of bringing that intensity & fire every night. You’ve got to play every shift like it’s your last night in the league. Nothing less is going to get it done, the gap between the top team in the league and the worst team in the league is WAY too small, you’re just not going to get away with it
  24. What I don’t understand is, outside of the bubble, what has this group actually achieved on the ice in the past 5 years? Where have they noticeably improved, performance-wise, on the ice since Green started as HC? They had a nice little run in the bubble, but that completely looks like an outlier. The exception not the rule. At least Willie D had a 100 pt season and a legit playoff appearance under his belt. There was every reason to believe, without the pandemic, the team was trending the wrong way in ‘19-‘20 and would’ve missed the playoffs that season too. Something HAS to change.
